(Enjoy this pic of my pup Finnegan. I need to go out and get some more pics soon. But this one turned out really good so I figured you'd appreciate it.)
-

It was a Friday evening and Chloe, Rachel and Max were all gathered in the junkyard shack. Eager to escape the stress of Blackwell.

"Ugh, can you believe that essay?" Rachel complained. "Five pages by Monday. Usually I'm not too dramatic about homework but that's kind of a dick move. Who assigns that on a Friday?"

"Ms. Hoida apparently." Max grumbled.

Chloe struggled with a pack of beer she had somehow gotten a hold of.

"You need help with that?" Rachel asked.

"No, I got it." Chloe said determinedly.

She pulled out her pocket knife and got to work.

"Well, I'm down to split the work if you are." Rachel said. "I'm sure we can figure out how to change it so they're not too-"

"Ouch!" Chloe yelped, examining her finger closely.

"Uh oh. That doesn't sound good." Rachel said.

"Nah, it's fine. I'm not bleeding." Chloe said.

"Well anyway, I can write the first half if you-

"Oh no, I'm bleeding." Chloe said.

"-want to do the rest." Rachel finished, giving Chloe half her attention.

"Guys, I actually am bleeding." Chloe said again.

"What?" Max asked.

"Oh fuck, guys. Oh boy." Chloe said.

Rachel reached for her hand nonchalantly and Chloe held it out to her.

"Oh my god. That's a lot of blood." Rachel said.

"No, don't say that." Chloe said, looking faint.

"I mean. Hey, that's like a paper cut, no big deal." Rachel said, but she shot Max a look.

Max looked closer and winced.

"Here, totally not necessary but why don't you wrap his around your hand and we'll just pop on over to the emergency room." Rachel said, taking her flannel off and handing it to Chloe.

"Oh god." Chloe moaned. "I think I'm gonna pass out."

"Do not do that." Rachel said. "You're fine. Where are your keys? I'll drive."

Chloe handed her keys over to Rachel with her good hand and Max made sure the injured one was wrapped up tight. Rachel drove them to the Arcadia Bay hospital.

"Hey, this brings back memories huh Chlo?" Rachel said. "One of us driving, the other bleeding out in the passengers seat."

"Do not even joke about that." Chloe said. "And you promised that I wasn't bleeding out!"

"You're not." Max said. "It would take hours at this rate."

"But I could?!" Chloe asked in alarm.

"Not for long." Rachel said, putting the truck into park. "We're here."

"Oh god." Chloe said.

-

"How the hell am I gonna explain this to my mom?" Chloe asked.

She held up her bandaged hand which had ended up needing several stitches.

"Um... Why don't I lead with this one?" Rachel asked.

They entered the house, Rachel motioning for them to go fast so they could try to avoid a confrontation first thing.

"Chloe?" Joyce asked from the kitchen.

"Oh, hey mom..." Chloe said, awkwardly hiding her hand from view.

Joyce narrowed her eyes in suspicion.

"Hi there Joyce." Rachel said, trying to pull the attention away from Chloe.

"Oh, hi there Rachel.... Max." Joyce said, acknowledging both of them. "Are you girls staying the night tonight?"

"If that's alright with you...." Rachel said.

"Of course!" Joyce said cheerily. "I was just starting on dinner, I'll add more for you."

"Oh, no worries mom." Chloe said. "We were just stoping by for a little. We're gonna go get food together later"

"Chloe! What happened to your hand?" Joyce asked in concern, spotting the bandage.

All three of them winced.

"This wouldn't have anything to do with that pocket knife of yours? Would it?" Joyce asked, hand on her hip.

"Uh...." Chloe said.

"Actually, it was a stupid mistake." Rachel said. "You see, there's this old train track north of town and Max was trying to get some cool shots of Chloe and I, and.. Chloe lost her footing and fell onto a piece of glass." Rachel said.

Chloe and Max nodded along to Rachel's story.

"Not that track over by that old junkyard I hope." David pitched in from the living room. "I've ordered- told, you to stay away from that place Chloe."

Chloe rolled her eyes.

"It was just for a photoshoot sergeant mustache." Chloe bit back.

Rachel stepped on Chloe's foot to signal to her to shut up.

"Ouch!" Chloe yelped.

Joyce looked at them suspiciously again.

"Oww, my hand." Chloe lied, holding it up. "So, we're just gonna..."

She slowly started walking up the stairs and Max and Rachel followed.

-

"Nice one Chloe." Rachel hissed once they were safe in the quiet of Chloe's room.

"What?" Chloe asked in defence.

"Usually when you're lying to someone your try not to piss them off!" Rachel said.

"They would have seen right through that." Max added. "Chloe not being mean to David for once? Now that's suspicious."

"Fair point." Rachel said. "Now, are we really leaving for dinner when we just got here?"

"Either that or eat dinner with mom and dipshit." Chloe said.

"Alright." Rachel said cheerily. "So where are we going?"

Another view at the domestic life of our favourite thruple. I feel like a lot of these fics end abruptly and I apologize for that, but when I try to add more it all seems unnecessary and extra. A lot of these are old ideas that I'm clearing out of my in-progress folder so I can actually see what I need to work on next. Lol, I'm an unorganized mess right now. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this one!

Roe v Wade being overturned in the United States has been absolutely devastating. This is not the end. We will fight for our rights to reproductive health care. I am lucky enough to live in Oregon. A state where it is extremely unlikely that abortion will become illegal and I just want to let everyone know that if you EVER need help with your own reproductive health you are more than welcome to come here. I have a safe place you can stay and I will help you get the care you deserve safely. (As well as take you to the Oregon coast for some life is strange ambiance) You have the right to make decisions about your OWN body no matter what anyone else tells you. Please stay safe out there and reach out if you need anything or even just want to talk.
