Chloe sat on their makeshift bench in the junkyard shack with Rachel's head on her lap as she lounged, holding a blunt to her lips. She inhaled slowly, savoring the peaceful moment and exhaled the smoke over Rachel before passing the blunt to her. She played with Rachel's hair, savoring the soft fluffy feeling in her brain. Wether it was the weed or being this close to Rachel, Chloe would never know. But the peaceful moment was ruined by a clang and a chorus of laughter.

Chloe groaned. Great, their peaceful lair was invaded once again. It had happened a few times before. Living in a town as small as Arcadia bay, other teens were bound to find out about the junkyard but many of them knew to stay away as it was Chloe and Rachel's hang out spot. But it seemed they once again had decided to invade. Rachel put a hand on Chloe's cheek to calm her and Chloe moved into her touch.

"Hey, it's okay." Rachel said. "I'm sure they'll leave soon."

Chloe groaned and moved away from Rachel's hand.

"But, they're ruining the peace and I don't want them-"

There was a loud bang and Rachel sat up suddenly.

"What the hell was that?!" Rachel asked.

But Chloe was already at the door of the junkyard shack.

"Hey! Dipshits!" Chloe yelled. "Whatever the fuck you're doing you better stop!"

Another bang and Chloe was out the door in a flash. Baseball bat in hand. Rachel rushed after her hoping to calm the punk before she could use the bat.

"What did I fucking say?!" Chloe yelled.

"Hey, woah. Chill." A guys voice said back.

Rachel rounded the corner and saw Chloe face to face with Hayden, Trevor, and Logan from Blackwell.

"Rachel!" Hayden said. "Call your attack dog off. We're just having a little fun."

"Setting off fireworks." Chloe said through gritted teeth.

"Well yeah, it's the Fourth of July." Trevor said in defense.

"I don't fucking care." Chloe said. "This is our space so you can get the fuck out, and, I don't want you setting off anything around here that has fire. I'm done with shit burning down around here. Fire danger is a thing assholes!"

"Woah, woah. I'd think you of all people would understand. Firecrackers are fun. Come on." Logan said.

"Oh fuck off. I'm a menace to society not an actual fucking asshole who starts forest fires." Chloe said.

Rachel gave Chloe a side glance at her words.

"Okay, let's all calm down." Rachel said. "Hayden, I think it's probably best if you find somewhere else to set off your fireworks."

"But Rachel-"

Rachel held her hand up.

"Look, I know it's the Fourth of July but come on Hayden. Is there really anything to celebrate in this country?"

Hayden looked at the ground.

"Just, go set them off in the parking lot of the school. That's much better than a junkyard where they won't be appreciated." Rachel said.

Hayden sighed and gestured to his friends to follow. Chloe watched them go with narrowed eyes. Rachel moved closer to her and took her hand gently.

"Hey, what's up with you?" Rachel asked.
