(Don't worry. This has a good ending. I promise I wouldn't cause you strife on today of all days. I'm also going to try to get something lighter out today as well to lift your spirits. But this is just too topical. Also, trying something new for uploading my photography. It seems to not be showing up on the app lately. I'm not sure if it's an app issue or a wattpad issue so please let me know if the photo shows up for you.)

It felt amazing. But it hurt in a way that Chloe couldn't even begin explain. Hot tears started to form in Chloe's eyes, threatening to fall and she reached up to wipe them away quickly so Rachel wouldn't see.

"You should probably go.." Chloe mumbled.

Rachel propped herself up on her elbow to look at Chloe and Chloe looked away. Picking at her blanket, secretly hoping that Rachel would argue and stay.

"You're right." Rachel said. "It's probably best if I'm in my dorm by morning. Otherwise people like to ask questions."

Rachel threw the blanket to the side and started searching for her clothes. Chloe tossed her bra over, hitting Rachel in the back of the head. For a second Chloe was quite pleased with herself but had to pretend she wasn't as Rachel shoved her bra in her back pocket, deciding not to bother with it for now.

"You gonna be okay?" Rachel asked, shrugging her flannel on, and opening Chloe's window.

"Yeah, of course." Chloe said.

She hated how her voice faltered, how Rachel turned back, watching her with her piercing hazel eyes. Looking for any deceit in Chloe's words. But evidently Chloe was a good liar. Or Rachel really didn't care. Because she turned to the window, crawling through with surprising grace after what they had just done.

"Night Chlo." Rachel said.

"Night." Chloe responded.

Rachel shut the window behind her and crawled down off the roof. Leaving Chloe alone in her dark room. The quiet rang in Chloe's ears and she finally let her tears fall in earnest.

Maybe she should have offered Rachel a ride back to the dorms but a part of her felt satisfied with revenge as she thought of Rachel walking back in the cold by herself. Maybe it would give her time to think about what she had just done. Using Chloe like she was nothing. But at the same time Chloe was angry with herself. Was she really any better? If she knew Rachel was just using her like this, then why did she let her? She was weak, and Rachel had her in her grasp.

Rachel kicked a rock as she walked, clutching her flannel close in the cold night air. She should have insisted on staying. She knew Chloe would let her. She always did. But Rachel hated pushing her like that. Wanted her to offer on her own. Otherwise she felt like an intruder. She kicked the rock again, cursing herself for what she had done. She knew that it meant more to Chloe and she felt like a monster. How could she do this to her again and again? It felt easy to promise not to do it again but in the moment it was all too much. Too hard to stop, to say no.

Rachel tried her best to distance herself. It seemed like the best way to avoid hurting Chloe. But it only made the moments they were together that much harder. And then she ended up walking home, alone, in the cold. She couldn't say she didn't deserve this. She definitely did.

"Rachel?" Steph asked from the dark hallway.

"Shit!" Rachel spun around, dropping her key on the floor. "Oh, hey Steph."

"What are you doing up so late?" Steph asked.

"Oh.. couldn't sleep." Rachel said. "I was just taking a walk."
