Y'all. I am running out of pictures to share. I haven't been out for photography in so long. This might be very similar to the pic before it seeing as it is in fact the same lake just from a different angle. Lol

"God, Wells told me if I don't get at least a C in all my classes that he's gonna revoke my re-in statement. But I am so fucked for this test."

"No you're not." Rachel said. "I'll help you study."

"Really?" Chloe asked.

"Of course Chloe."

-

"Okay, so, first step here is knowing the quadratic formula." Rachel said, as she read over Chloe's worksheet.

Chloe groaned.

"Oh come on." Rachel said. "It's easy! Negative B, plus or minus the square root of B squared minus four A C all over two A."

Chloe looked at her as if she were speaking a different language.

"I'm sorry. What?" Chloe asked.

"Okay. We'll start small." Rachel said, picking up her pencil.

She wrote it down to show Chloe what it looked like.

"So this is what I mean. Don't get scared off by all the letters. They're basically place holders for numbers you'll find once you have the problem you need to solve."

Chloe tried very hard to pay attention to what Rachel was saying but as soon as she started taking numbers from the first question on the page and putting them in to the equation Chloe was lost. So instead she just watched Rachel work.

Every time Rachel looked up Chloe was entranced by her eyes and she nodded. Anything to make Rachel think she was still paying attention. She was gorgeous, and Chloe just wanted to watch her work.

"Okay, cool. Your turn." Rachel said, handing Chloe the pencil.

Chloe froze.

"Um...." She said.

"It's okay. Just try your best, explain as you go and I'll let you know if it's right."

Chloe looked down at the page and read the question. Her mind blanked.

"So..."

"A good first step is, as soon as you get your test paper write the quadratic formula at the top and then you can just use it as a guide. So write that down first."

"Uh.. negative..."

Rachel watched intently as the gears struggled to turn in Chloe's brain.

"Negative B?" Chloe asked.

"Yup! You got it!" Rachel said. "Now the rest."

"Uh......"

Chloe face palmed.

"I suck at this." Chloe said. "I can't even remember the name of the damn thing and you've said it like eight times."

Rachel took the pencil and the paper away from Chloe and set them to the side.

"Hey. You don't suck Chloe. This stuff is hard." Rachel said, placing a hand on Chloe's.

Chloe looked up.

"Then how come you know it so easily?"

Rachel sighed.

"Chloe, you can do this. I know you can. I know it's not easy. But once you have the formula down, you'll be breezing through these problems."

"Okay. Okay." Chloe said. "So... negative B...."

Chloe looked deep in thought.

"Oh! Plus or minus.. the square root?"

"You're on the right track!" Rachel said.

"That's it. That's all I got." Chloe said in defeat.

Rachel tilted Chloe's head up by her chin and smiled at her.

"Good job."

She kissed Chloe softly and Chloe's brain exploded with happiness. Rachel pulled away, still smiling at her and Chloe exhaled, absolutely ecstatic.

"So, try it again." Rachel said, smirking.

"Negative B, plus or minus the square root.. oh! Of B squared minus... minus..."

Rachel leaned in and kissed her again, deeper this time.

"Four A C all over two A!" Chloe said, once Rachel had pulled away.

Rachel leaned in again and slowly pushed Chloe onto her back.

"Good job." Rachel said, hovering over her.

Chloe swallowed in nervousness and excitement.

"Now write that down." Rachel said, handing Chloe the pencil.

Chloe pouted when Rachel pulled away but did as she was told, and it came to her easily. She scribbled it down at the top of the paper.

"Now, try the second problem." Rachel said.

"What's in it for me?" Chloe flirted.

"Guess you'll find out." Rachel said, winking.

Chloe got to work. She stumbled through with lots of Rachel's help but she had gotten the gist of it and she was extremely proud of herself.

"Okay, that's enough for now. I need a break." Chloe said.

"That's exactly what I had in mind." Rachel said, pushing Chloe back onto the bed.

Chloe whimpered in response to Rachel's assertiveness.

"Oh god. I'm gonna fail this test aren't I?" Chloe asked, half jokingly.

"Not if I have something to say about it." Rachel said, straddling Chloe's waist.

-

"B minus!" Chloe said excitedly, waving her test paper around.

"Fuck yeah!" Rachel said.

Rachel gave Chloe a high five and Chloe pulled her into a hug, sweeping her off her feet and in a circle for a second. Rachel giggled as Chloe placed her back on the floor.

"You have some epic tutoring skills." Chloe said, winking.

"Only for you." Rachel said. "Won't catch me trying that with anyone else."

Chloe laughed.

"Well, now the quadratic formula turns me on so thanks for that." Chloe said.

Rachel laughed.

"I'm sorry. The what turns you on?" Steph asked from the doorway behind them.

Chloe blushed.

"Oh uh."

"The quadratic formula." Rachel said.

Steph furrowed her brow.

"I'm not gonna question it. But I'd keep that to yourself Chloe." Steph said.

"No, I- you see.." Chloe started to say, but Steph walked away.

Chloe stood there still spluttering, her face bright red.

"Come on." Rachel said. "We have to celebrate!"

Fun fact. I actually have a learning disability called dyscalcuila which is kind of like dyslexia but with numbers. Meaning that literally no matter how hard I tried to learn math in school I just couldn't get it. My best friend even tried to tutor me and it did NOT work. But I still made it through school somehow (mostly thanks to my math teacher who knew how hard I tried and would give me a passing grade regardless) and now I'm an adult and I don't have to worry about it ever again. Lol. Hope you like this one!

(P.s. the only reason I know the quadratic formula is because of that guy who made the song about it. It's actually very catchy. Do I understand how to use it? Hell no!)
