(Another slightly ugly winter pic. I keep saying they're ugly but I kinda love them.)

Max shivered pulling her blanket over her and re-adjusting the hood of her hoodie. It was a freezing October night and unfortunately the heating in the dorms had broken leaving the rooms frigid. She grumbled in frustration and started considering the possibility that it could in fact be warmer outside when she remembered that Rachel was just down the hall. Perhaps she had a warmer blanket or sweater Max could borrow. She hopped up shivering again as her blanket fell off and headed to Rachel's room.

Max knocked gently on the door and heard a giggle and shuffling before it creaked open just a crack.

"Oh thank god. It's just Max." Rachel said opening the door up to reveal Chloe sitting on her bed.

"Hey Maximus. What are you doing up?" Chloe asked.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't know you guys were..." Max trailed off not knowing exactly what to say. "I was cold. I just wanted to see if maybe you had an extra blanket or something..."

Rachel laughed at her awkward stutter. "Come on in." She said.

Max walked in and was instantly greeted with warmth.

"Holy shit. It's so warm in here."

"Yeah, Chloe brought me a space heater." Rachel said gesturing to the corner of the room.

"Damn, that's nice." Max said crossing to the corner to warm her hands up.

"I think I have a few extra blankets in my closet." Rachel said "but, if you want. You could stay here tonight."

"Oh, I don't want to intrude." Max said awkwardly.

"Dude. It's like 30° out there." Chloe piped up. "Please intrude, otherwise we'll find you frozen into a block."

"It's not intruding." Rachel said, reassuring Max.

"Welllllll...." Chloe started. "I mean... we were kind of in the middle of something..."

"Chloe!" Rachel said angrily. "She is not intruding."

"Fine, fine." Chloe put her hands up in surrender.

"No, it's cool. I'll just let you guys get back to whatever." Max said gesturing awkwardly.

"No, I insist you stay." Rachel said gesturing for Max to sit with them on the bed.

"Sleepover! Like the good old days." Chloe said patting the spot next to her.

Max shrugged and crossed over to them trying not to think about what exactly they were 'in the middle of' when she knocked.

"Okay, sleep time. I'm exhausted." Rachel said.

"Really? I seem to remember you were quite enthusiastic-"

"Maybe you're just exhausting to be around." Rachel joked back at Chloe.

Max blushed awkwardly in the middle of them.

"You're making Max uncomfortable." Chloe said.

"Me?!" Rachel asked. "I'm the one making her uncomfortable?!"

Chloe nodded and Rachel shook her head and then caught Max's eye and winked.

Max sat there shocked and blushed harder.

"Umm..." she started.

"Sorry, I'll stop." Chloe said. "Let's sleep." She yawned, taking the far side of the bed. "You okay Max?" She asked when Max did not find a spot on the bed.

"It's okay Max, we don't bite." Rachel said.

Max awkwardly took the spot next to Chloe and Rachel took the spot next to her, pulling the blanket over all of them.

Max sat there staring at the ceiling panicking not knowing what to say or do when Rachel cuddled up to her, and Chloe on the other side of her did the same.

"Umm..." Max started "I don't know if.."

"I'm sorry, too soon huh?" Rachel asked.

"Wha-"

"We were making hella moves on you if you didn't notice." Chloe butted in.

"What?!" Max exclaimed.

"Too forward I think." Rachel said. "I'm sorry. I just thought it would be better to be forward with it then dance around the elephant in the room."

When Max didn't say anything Chloe spoke up.

"The elephant is the fact that we like you Max."

Max sat there unable to speak for a moment.

"You. Wait so. You. Like. Me?" She said slowly.

"Yes." They responded in unison.

"I understand if it's too much too soon-" Rachel started.

"No!" Max cut her off.

They both stared at her in concern.

"No, I uh. I like you too." Max said. "Both of you that is."

They both sighed in relief and Chloe smiled widely.

"Should we turn in and discuss the rest in the morning?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, give it time. I don't want to move any faster than we already have." Rachel said.

"As long as we can still cuddle." Max said seriously.

"Absolutely." Chloe responded pulling Max closer and kissing her on the forehead.

Rachel did the same and Max drifted to sleep smiling, happy and warm between her girls.

So, I feel like this is quite similar to another story I wrote but It's also been sitting in my finished folder and I wanted to get some stories out for everyone to enjoy. So, sorry if it's too similar. Most of my stories are based off of actual experiences (I have a note in my phone titled 'fic ideas' and anytime something inspires me like a quote, a situation, a place, I write it down.) This was inspired from a night this fall where I was super cold. Unfortunately cold is a feeling many people in the central untied states are feeling right now without power, food or water, and words can't express how upset I am with how they are being ignored and left in the cold. I hope everyone there is staying safe.
