(Welcome Finnegan to the family everyone! He's a retired racing greyhound from Ireland and I adopted him about two months ago now. I've been super busy getting him settled as he's quite a nervous guy. But he has been super helpful with the fic writing and enjoys sitting with me on the couch while I write and listening while I proofread. We're playing through all the LiS games because I will make him a fan if it's the last thing I ever do. Lol)

Chloe stepped on the back of the board to stop herself and there was a crunch and she hit the ground hard and stayed down.
"Shit!" Rachel said, rushing across the semi-dark parking lot. "Are you okay?!" She asked in alarm.
"Yeah. No. I dunno." Chloe said in gasps. "Trying. To. Remember. How. To. Breathe."
She finally took a deep breath and Rachel helped her sit up. She turned around and gave the thumbs up to Justin and his skater friends who were standing a little ways away, watching.
"I'm okay." Chloe said.
"Are you really?" Rachel asked.
"No, we need to go home, I think I bruised my ass." Chloe said.
Rachel laughed in response, and helped Chloe up. Rachel grabbed the broken board and they walked back over to the group.
"Shit Chloe. You totally wiped out." Justin said.
"Yeah, that's what you get when you duct tape your skateboard together." Rachel said, holding up the damaged remains.
"What else was I suppose to do?" Chloe said. "I don't have the money for a new one."
"Well I guess you'll just have to use mine." Rachel said.
Chloe hung her head sadly.
"Well, we're gonna head out." Rachel said. "It's been real fun but now Chloe doesn't have a board and we gotta be back to my place like an hour ago. My parents are gonna be pissed."
"Aww, seriously?" Justin said.
"Yeah, sorry." Rachel said.

Chloe walked alongside Rachel as she skated, holding the broken remains of her beloved skateboard.
"You don't think I could superglue this back together do you?" Chloe asked.
Rachel stopped her board and gave Chloe a look.
"Seriously?" Rachel asked. "You really want to try that after what happened tonight?"
"Yeah... maybe not." Chloe said.

Sorry this one is so short. It's another small peek into domestic life with Chloe and Rachel. I was going to add more but it just felt like I was drawing it out so I ended it here. Hope you enjoyed!
