The castle was quiet tonight, spring was afoot and the princesses were both relieved.

"When shall we go again?" Areum asked her sister, glancing over as she stood by the window, looking out as though she was searching for something.

"When would you like to?" Dallia asked, drawing her eyes away from the window finally.

The girl thought for a second, her heart thumped against her chest. "As soon as possible."

The eldest turned to look at her sibling, knotting her eyebrows together as she watched emotion wash over the girls face.

It was rare to see Areum be overcome with emotion, but as her sister, she had seen almost every side to the girl that there was to be seen.

They were different in many ways, but they shared the common desire to fall in love. It was just that Areum already had.

"You are hoping to see him?" Dallia asked, sitting down on the bed as her sister followed.

"I dream of him every night," the younger sighed. "And I know that I will be punished for it one day, but I can't help but feel as though he is the one I should marry."

Her sister smiled with a sigh, leaning her head on the girls shoulder. "We are too young to know of such things."

"And we are too royal to have a say in such things," she counter argued, resting her head on top of hers. "Can we go now?"

"Now?" Dallia sat up gently, taking her sisters hand.

"Why not?" She chuckled, looking nervously at her trembling hands. "I have nothing to lose, unless he is now to be engaged."

The eldest stood up, glancing out of the window as her eyes frantically searched for him. "We must climb, is that alright?"

"Climb?" Her younger sister looked terrified, looking out of the window too. "But how?"

"I'll show you," she nodded, sliding up the window. "Follow my lead."

Once the two were down safely, Areum looked horrified at what she had just done. "How do you do it so easily and gracefully?"

"Practice," Dallia shrugged. "Now keep your head down, let's go."

The girls ran with their backs hunched over, running directly towards the woods to where Dallia believed she would find him.

And there he was, with his back flat against the tree trunk, a sketchbook in hand.

"Hyunjae?" Areum whispered to her sister, who simply nodded and jogged towards him, cautious of their surroundings.

"Hello," she said, startling the boy as he stood up instantly, looking at the girl with wide eyes. "What say you of an adventure?"

"What say you of keeping me out of trouble?" He joked, the girl smiling widely. "Hello, Areum."
