"Have you seen him yet?" The boy asked, his long eyelashes covering the slight glimmer from the candles as his eyes trailed over the girls face, avoiding her bare chest.

"Whom?" Dallia asked, her eyes trailing him in a similar manner.

"Prince Hyungseo," even saying his name hurt, yet the boy tried his best to ignore it. He wasn't the one here on a night like this with her by his side, exposing herself to him and only him. "Since we got back. Have you seen him?"

The mere thought of Kevin was enough to make the princess shudder. The thought of seeing him never crossed her mind, and only made her realise that they would only ever see each other on the grounds of approval from their parents.

Not that she wanted to see him. Truthfully, it was one of the last things she wanted.

She liked his company, he was undeniably a gentleman who had a lot of love for her somewhere, even if it wasn't romantically.

He was perfect for someone, just not her. And it made her sad to think that he would be deprived of that someone because of their establishment.

"I haven't," the princess shook her head, shivering as the boy tickled her arm gently with his finger tips. "Why do you ask?"

Hyunjae shrugged, his lips tugging upwards slightly. "It was just a thought."

"A thought that passed your mind as we lay here undressed?" Dallia chuckled as the boy shuddered. "Are you cold?"

"Just hold me," the boy pouted as the girl scooted closer. His breath hitched ever so slightly at the feeling of her body pressing against his, yet that's when he felt the warmth pass through him. "Much better, princess."

They found themselves here every night since that one night. The outbuilding of the palace seemed like more of a risk than their usual trek towards the village, but since the threat that they received last time, Hyunjae swore to never venture out there with the girl again. She would be in too much danger.

Instead he used the shed beside his home, the one which was filled with random supplies, to provide some sort of set up for the two.

He wondered why he had never thought of this before, but the risk of being caught out here was much higher than anywhere else. Although the princess had a story to tell if they were ever caught, yet she hoped she would never have to tell.

The trip had brought them closer, simply as friends. That statement was true, but in another sense.

It now felt like they were inseparable, and that in itself was dangerous, for one day - they would have to separate.

"What are you thinking about?" The boy asks, snapping her from her thoughts.

She noted how he glowed golden under the burning hues of the candles he had lit for them. It was as though with every passing day, he only became more beautiful, and it caused her heart to clench in her chest. "You."
