Dallia stared at the wall noting that the ticking of the clock seemed to too accurately match her heartbeat.
She chewed her bottom lip anxiously, her foot tapping consistently upon the wooden floor. Cursing the darkness of the spring night, her eyes flickered between the clock and outside the window.
Sighing to herself, she lay back on her bed. "You can't be here every night, right?"
Closing her eyes, she could almost envision Hyunjae on a horse which was galloping through the fields, racing to get to her.
She missed him every time he wasn't there, even more so now that he graced her with a visit every so often.
But she had to accept this was the way things would be. "Hyungseo, stop!"
The sound of laughter and footsteps echoed through the halls, causing the girl to sit upright and make her way to her bedroom door.
Upon opening, she found her younger sister and fiancé joking around. It would be a heartwarming sight if Dallia didn't notice how her sibling's voice went up an octave or two or that her cheeks had slightly blushed. "Everything alright?"
"We were just coming to visit you," Kevin smiled innocently. "Would you like to go a walk?"
"I-"
"It's quite chilly tonight," Areum interrupted her sister. "Do you even have something warm enough to wear?"
Dallia cocked an eyebrow ever so slightly, noticing Hyungseo's mind ticking. "I better fetch my heavier coat, bear with me a second ladies. I'll get you by the front door."
The elder noticed that Areum smiled a little too widely, watching as he jogged down the hall. "So, are you coming with? It's okay if not."
"You don't want me to come, do you?" Dallia asked directly.
The younger princesse's face fell, her eyes wandering her sisters confused but stern expression. Her heart truthfully skipped a beat, it had been a while since her sister looked so disappointed in her.
"I do," she denied nonetheless. "Why would you say that?"
"Please," Dallia exasperated, walking back into her room as her sister followed. "What about Changmin?"
Areum froze, watching as the elder sat upon her bed, her hands clasped delicately upon her knees as she tilted her head.
She stuttered over words that she couldn't get out even if she tried, shaking her head. "Are you implying that I'm swooning over the prince? Your fiancé?"
"I'm not implying," the princess sighed. "I am stating. I can see with my own eyes."
"H-How dare you accuse me of that?" Areum stepped forward again, lowering her voice as she became cautious. "It is not like that."
