Saying goodbye to the palace for even twenty four hours was like a holiday for the princess, and now she was finally venturing away for weeks.

And she knew if she were to be with the one she adored the most, it would mean even more to her.

Hyunjae, on the other hand, bit his nails anxiously as his parents loaded the carriage, his eyes shifting around the castle gardens.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" He asked his mother, his nerves never seeming to settle over the last few days.

"Why wouldn't it be?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Son, if you tell me you are still hung up-"

"He is not," his father answered for him. The panic still never left the youngers face, though. "Otherwise he would have realised this trip would not be a good idea."

Hyunjae nodded slowly in agreement. He often wondered if this trip would in fact be an awful idea, but his mother's innocence in offering the sisters to come with them meant something to him.

She recognised the looks her son would often sneak at the girl, his eyes leaving her in a frenzy when he realised he had been caught.

Part of her wanted to believe that this was simply an attraction. The princess was beautiful, there was no denying that. Her charming aura was one which she felt herself when she was in her presence, the kindness and warmth was surely not something she learned from the king.

But a part of her knew that there was more to it than her son being deprived of real love up until this point in his life.

She wanted him to experience that love, especially now in his early twenties, before it was too late. Just not with her.

"I sure hope so," his mother sighed, glancing around the wood path as they waited a moment longer. "Straighten up, here they come."

The boys eyes shifted towards the castle, seeing the sisters skip out happily with their arms intertwined, smiles upon both of their faces.

His parents smiled too, noticing that they carried their own bags with them instead of having someone hold them.

"What are they doing?" Hyunjae chuckled to himself, jogging over to the two who approached him with grins. "Hello, princesses."

"Hi," Areum smiled back, watching as the boy offered his arm to take her bag. "What a gentleman you have there, Dallia."

"Shush," the older princess hushed her sister who walked towards his parents, before noticing the weight she once felt in her hand be taken from her. "You don't have to do such a thing."

"I'm carrying a bag, princess," Hyunjae shook his head, walking slightly further ahead as his mother watched. "It isn't much."

"It is," Dallia smiled to herself, admiring how much of a gentleman he indeed was, regardless of his job. "I couldn't sleep last night."
