Dallia sat perched against a tree, the darkness of the night not even remotely scaring her as she in the woodlands.

Nothing could scare her anymore than the thought of him leaving.

It had been days since she heard those words fall from her fathers lips. She noticed how he was so nonchalant about the whole thing, yet she remembered Mr Lee's nervous eyes as he passed her by.

Chewing the inside of her lip, she stared out to see the moonlight shining on the field before her. Her legs would take her there, but not without a stumble or two.

She lay in the grass, looking up at the sky. There was only the odd star or two in view tonight, and that didn't surprise her.

There would be nothing beautiful to look at if he was gone, and that was the reality.

This field with withered daisies and overgrown grass would usually be a sight in whatever the weather, but it would lose its touch if he wasn't to be here beside her.

"You'll catch a cold out here, princess." Even his voice would become a memory, but right now, it made the girl rise to her feet.

"It doesn't matter," Dallia mumbled, watching as he came closer. Her heart still fluttered like always, but this time it was noticeably painful. "Why?"

Hyunjae sighed, his heart aching in his chest just as it did these last few days. Truthfully, he found out the news after she did. "I wish I knew, Dallia."

"How can you all just leave?" Her voice was barely beyond a whisper, making the boy instinctively walk over, wrapping his arms around her. "You can't."

"We are," he corrected, his hand moving to comb through her hair that was noticeably somewhat matted. "Your hair, princess..." he mumbled, pulling her away from his chest to examine her pouting face. "Please don't be upset, Dallia."

"How can I not be?" She cried, shaking her head.

"I am too," hurt laced in his words, the boy began to tear up too. "If I had a say in this, we wouldn't be going anywhere. Hell, if I had a say in this, I'd be marrying you tomorrow."

The girl shook her head, tears streaming down her face. The sight alone was enough to make the boys knees buckle, his heart clench so tightly in his chest that he was sure he could die right here.

"Don't say that," she whispered, looking at him desperately. "Please."

"Is that so wrong to say? To imagine?" The brunette boy pleaded, stepping forward to clasp his hands into hers. "I would marry you in a heartbeat, Dallia, if things weren't like this."

"But we knew that," the princess said helplessly. "It was always going to be this way."

"So we should have never loved?" His hand reached to clasp the girls jawline gently, pulling her towards him with pleading eyes. "This wasn't all for nothing, princess, as much as it should never have happened."
