"So beautiful..." Hyunjae mumbled, trailing his fingers along the girl's exposed shoulder.
Dallia glanced up at the boy, smiling weakly as she lay in his arms. Tonight was milder than it had been the last few weeks, or maybe it was the warmth from the embrace of her love.
"Are you cold?" He asked concernedly, his thumb brushing over her shoulder.
"Not really," the princess shook her head. "Why do you ask?"
"You're just shaking a little, that's all," he smiled. "Or is that just from being in my presence?"
Dallia chuckled softly, but cut it short to nuzzle her head into his chest. She worried that the shaking would be something that wouldn't stop either. But then again, she would be anxious about it until she knew for sure.
She recalled the look on her sisters face when she confessed what she had been worrying about. Areum looked shocked, but more so sad. It was understandable why.
Bearing Hyunjae's child meant raising a child with another man.
Bearing Hyunjae's child meant the possibility of looking into eyes just like his own for the rest of her life.
Bearing Hyunjae's child meant hardly anything good if she were not to be by his side.
At least that's what she tried to tell herself. The thought of having a son or a daughter who had his kind soul and beauty made her happy. It would be an honour, she thought.
"What's on your mind?" His fingers combed through her hair gently.
Dallia couldn't comprehend if he was this clingy tonight for this would possibly be the last time she seen him before she is to be married, or if for the reasons she was used to him being this way. "Just you."
With a smile, the boy leaned down to kiss her. He held her so tightly, although she knew why.
She could feel herself lost in his kiss and touch, and he felt that her hands no longer trembled when they held his own.
"Hyunjae..." Dallia mumbled as his lips lazily hooked to her neck. He hummed against her, looking up into her eyes. "We shouldn't... not here."
"Do we have another option?" He laughed, the girl chuckling as she pursed her lips.
"I guess not," the princess sighed. "I'm just not sure it's the best idea."
Hyunjae looked between the girls eyes as her head fell. "Oh, princess. We don't have to do anything. I didn't mean to-"
"You did nothing wrong," Dallia cut the boy off, her hands resting at either side of his face. Her features softened as she saw the concerned look in his eyes. It was heart wrenching. "I promise you, Hyunjae."
The boy smiled weakly, his hands resting on top of hers. "Let me just hold you for a while, okay?"
And so he did. The night didn't get any darker but time was surely passing by.
