28: Exam Week

It was the second week of December and not only Lisa was dealing with her second week of being emancipated but she also had to think about exam week. "Wake up, Miss Lisa. You have your first Biology exam this morning, your favorite." Amelia said when she walked inside Lisa's room to open the curtains. She wanted Lisa to eat breakfast before her exams, so she will have all the strength in the world.

When Amelia turned around, she almost had a heart attack, because Jennie lifted her head from the pillow and squinted her eyes at the light that was shinning through the window. "Morning." She greeted with a rusty voice and she yawned afterwards.

Lisa came out of the bathroom brushing her teeth and smiled at Amelia, who sighed out. "You two will scare me to death one day." She told Lisa, who couldn't avoid laughing at Amelia's pale face. "Come on, hurry up, you have to get there early and you two need to eat something before going to school. I will be downstairs waiting."

Amelia left the room and Lisa went back inside the bathroom to finish brushing her teeth. She washed her mouth and walked out afterwards, jumping on the bed next to Jennie. "So when are we going to talk about what happened at the party? We need to talk about the things we have said to each other. When are we gonna sit down and actually talk things out?" Jennie asked Lisa sitting on the bed. She was naked under the sheets and only the blanket was covering her. Lisa lowered her head to kiss Jennie on the lips.

"Not now. This is exam week. We will have plenty of time to talk afterwards. Now go in there and shower already. Or else we are going to be late and Amelia will kill us." Lisa responded her, completely running away from the question. Jennie chose not to argue, since both of them had to be in the best mood for this exam. Lisa was confident with the Biology exam but Jennie couldn't say the same.

She got out of the bed, exposing her naked body, while Lisa shamelessly checked her out. "I guess that it would be best if we didn't fuck until we have talked." Jennie teased Lisa by winking at her, after what she said. Lisa sighed out and rolled her eyes at how Jennie wanted to provoke her. Jennie got inside the bathroom and Lisa started preparing herself.

Lisa would do anything to avoid having the talk with Jennie about what happened. She just wanted the two of them to forget everything and just go back to how things were. But the problem is that Lisa has never been in a real relationship and she doesn't know how to handle a conversation after a fight. If it was up to her, she would rather not talk about it and just make love all day.

Once the two of them were ready to go, after Amelia forced them to finish their food on the plate and drink not too much water, Lisa and Jennie left the house, ready to face exam week.

You know it's exam week when students gather together in front of their lockers, sitting down on the floor, going through their textbooks and asking each other questions. Although many of them had the chance to retake the exam, most of them wouldn't dare to go through the same stress all over again. Doing it once was enough for them, no matter the grade they got.

When Lisa and Jennie walked towards their lockers, they found Joy, Sana and Irene, holding their biology text books, trying their hardest to remember some of the answers. Joy wasn't as worried as her friends, but she still flipped through the pages to make sure her memory was in check.

"Morning, ready for the exam?" Jennie asked, peeking at Sana's textbook. It was filled with post its of acronyms for her to remember the definitions and diagrams. "Well, you seem ready." She commented, once she realized that Sana had more notes than her.

"Lisa! What is the definition of meiosis?" Irene questioned when she noticed Lisa standing right in front of her. She tried to remember the definition from the book but she knew that hearing a much clearer version from the best student, would help her know it by heart.

"Meiosis is the process by which sex cells, that are made in the reproductive organs." Lisa answered and Irene felt much better. She smiled at Lisa and the Thai girl smiled back. Lisa was glad that Irene was able to put all the things related to Jackson in the past. She hasn't heard about him in a while and she was glad that Irene no longer was with him.

"Thanks." Irene said and Lisa nodded at her. They kept exchanging questions and answers, while Jennie was feeling as if she didn't prepare hard enough.

Jungkook showed up a couple of minutes later, holding a red Starbucks cup, accompanied by Jisoo and Taehyung who were eating sandwiches. Jennie was surprised that the three looked relaxed and not worried about the exam. "Wait, don't tell me you guys are going to cheat!" She yelled, and Jungkook stopped drinking his frappuccino to stare at his ex-girlfriend, with an offended expression on his face.

"Are you kidding me? No way. I actually studied hard. I was over Taehyung's house for the past days, cramming for these exams. I'm ready!" Jungkook stated. Jennie was glad to hear that he wouldn't attempt to cheat or else Ms Tiffany would find out and he'd be doomed again. "Hey partner." He said towards Joy. "Ready for the exam?"

"I was born ready unlike some people." Joy commented, making their friends snort at their interaction. Jungkook chose to ignore her and kept sipping on his drink, resting his back against the locker.

"Have you guys seen Chae?" Jisoo asked and they started wondering where the blonde girl was.

"Chaeyoung is just like me. She doesn't need to take the exams, since she has enough credit to be done with this semester if she wanted. Besides, she had her exams in her old school, with a different system. She is at home chilling and I should have joined her, if it wasn't for Jennie." Lisa explained and looked at Jennie with a judgmental expression.

"You chose to come and you know it." Jennie said, crossing her arms and sticking her tongue out at Lisa.

"So I guess you two are alright now?" Taehyung questioned them and everyone looked at him. Everyone was trying to avoid that same question, because no one was brave enough to ask it out loud, but Taehyung just had to open his mouth. His question created an awkward silence that lasted almost 6 minutes, until Miss Tiffany showed up.

She was passing by them to go into the classroom to drop the exams, when she saw Lisa. "I will be looking forward to read your exam. I can sense the best grade and a distinction coming from your answers." Miss Tiffany said, praising Lisa and boosting up her confidence for the exam.

Jennie excitedly looked at Miss Tiffany with a bright smile. "What do you expect from my exam, miss?" She asked and her teacher simply looked at her with a straight face.

"I will be happy if you just pass." She answered and left the group to laugh at Jennie for that response. Miss Tiffany knew Jennie would do her best but she was asking for that type of answer with a question like that.

Her friends kept teasing her until the bell rang and people started going inside their classrooms to take the exams. Jennie grabbed Lisa's hand and pulled her into a hug, just as everyone was already inside the classroom. "Good luck." Jennie whispered on Lisa's ear and Lisa kissed her cheek.

"You too. May we survive exam week."
