32: Dance Until You Break

"What are you doing after school today?" Jungkook asked, sitting down next to Lisa during lunch time. She was sat next to Chaeyoung, Irene, Sana, Jisoo, and Taehyung. They were all expecting Jennie to join them any time soon. It has been a week or more since classes started and they were at the end of January.

Jennie and Lisa started some friendly banters during class time and Math time was always the climatic point where they would send indirect messages to each other when chatting with their friends. Jennie was glad that she was still communicating with Lisa, in one way or another. Lisa, on the other hand, wished Jennie would sit down and talk to her.

But the only problem was that Jennie was also enjoying Chahee's company. Chahee is such a fun and lovable girl, which only made it easier for Jennie to grow closer to her. Lisa still found it weird seeing Jennie focused on someone else. She also didn't expect Jennie to move on this quick.

"I am not sure. Depends on what you have in mind." Lisa responded and Jungkook nodded his head. Lisa noticed that Joy wasn't present as well. Then she remembered that Jennie would be auditioning to Ms Momo in 15 minutes. Lisa had no idea that Jennie knew how to dance but she was glad Ms Momo was giving her a chance.

"Well, I was thinking of taking some pictures around your house. I think it's amazing and with the history behind it...I just think it would look in my portfolio...If I ever make one." Jungkook explained, making Lisa happy. Lisa genuinely hoped that Jungkook would focus on something other than just soccer. He needed to expand his knowledge and his areas of expertise. Photography suited him well.

"How's your mother by the way? Still demanding you come home early?" Lisa asked, taking a bite of her food. Jungkook shrugged and placed his camera on top of the lunch table.

He also wished to understand what is going on with his mother. Before, she would only care about shopping and live high in that socialite life. But suddenly, all she wants is to spend time with her family, enjoy Joy's mother's company and she has been incredibly nice lately. Jungkook didn't have a good feeling about his mother behaviour. It was as if she was hiding something.

"She is alright. I have to get home by 9 today so I was hoping to hang out before then." He responded and Lisa could feel the fatigue in his voice. Jungkook seemed to be exhausted from his family, always sneaking around and being very mysterious. "I just wish they saw me as a 17 year old boy and not a 5 year old kid. They should talk to me."

"Don't fret about it. It will all work out. They will talk to you when they want to. Give them some time." Lisa advised him, even when she had no idea of the situation.

Lisa still felt weird seeing her friends go through problems with their parents. Just the other day, Irene was complaining that she got grounded and her father took away her credit card. Lisa can literally fuck things up and she won't get grounded, unless Chaeyoung's parents are around. Lisa no longer had a void because of her parents, but instead, she had this small gap in her heart longing for some parental love.

"We should go in 5 minutes to watch Jennie perform." Sana said, making Lisa's attention drift away from her imagination.

"I can't believe Jennie is going to audition for a dance team. The old Jennie wouldn't do that. I think I like this Jennie way more." Sana commented making people laugh at what she said. Irene snorted and took a sip of her water from her gold bottle.

"I prefer this Jennie 100%. What about you, Lisa?" Irene asked and everyone's eyes landed on Lisa. Just as everyone was avoiding to talk about Lisa and Jennie, Irene and Sana seemed to be the only two people who haven't got the memo.

"Of course she loves the new Jennie. More than anyone in this table." Lisa heard Chaeyoung respond for her. Lisa smiled at her and stood up, ready to leave. They were all going to the auditorium to watch Jennie audition for the dance team. Lisa was curious about Jennie's dance moves.
