6 years later

"Are you sure this is even a good idea?" Lisa asked her friend through the phone, as she was approaching the Cafe Rouge her friend mentioned.

After a long time of convincing, Lisa finally decided to listen to her friend and she agreed to go on a blind date. Lisa had always told her friend that she was still in love with her ex-girlfriend, whom she lost contact with for 6 years. Lisa insisted that she wasn't ready to move on but her friend wanted to see Lisa happy and to stop her from whining about her ex-girlfriend.

Lisa moved to New York 4 years ago. After her scholarship project was a success, Lisa decided to start a similar project in New York and she stayed there. She graduated from Columbia University in Biochemical Engineering as her master, and she also took a course in Business Management.

Lisa had tried to talk to Jennie, but it was never a success. After a while, she stopped trying but her heart didn't allow her to move on. Now she was on her way to maybe change her love life around and find new hope.

"Yes, I am sure. Besides, you need a date for your friend's wedding, and you can't go alone." Lisa heard her friend lecture her and she sighed out, giving up. There was no way you could argue with her.

"Alright, I will go to the date and I will talk about my ex-girlfriend and ruin the whole thing. How about that?" Lisa joked, knowing her friend will kill her.

"You do that and I am going to ruin your whole life." She threatened and Lisa decided to listen. She didn't want to be friendless.

Lisa's phone started beeping and she checked the screen, which showed she had someone else calling her. "Chaeyoung is calling me right now, I will call you later." Lisa told her friend and she hanged up. She picked up Chaeyoung's call, ready to hear her best friend lecture her. Lisa thought her ears would fall off from all the lectures she has been getting.

"Are you at your date yet?" Chaeyoung asked and Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Almost there. If you guys would just stop calling me, I might arrive there earlier." Lisa told her and Chaeyoung cleared her throat.

"Why? Are you walking to the Cafe? What happened to your car?" Chaeyoung questioned her and Lisa sighed out frustrated that people kept calling her when she had to pay attention to the road.

"James is using it. His wife needed to go to the hospital for an ultrasound and I don't even feel that great about the date, so forgive me for being nice." Lisa responded, while crossing the road to get to the cafe. She stopped by the entrance to finish talking to Chaeyoung.

"You are rich, you even got richer after the passing of your grandmother. So please explain to me, how come you don't even spend money in a taxi or bus fare or just buy another car here in New York? But whatever, you keep living your life and I will let you off this time." Chaeyoung said, noticing how her lectures never seem to work on Lisa. She just does whatever she wants.

"Good. I arrived at the cafe. I will talk to you later." Lisa finally said and she hanged up. She checked her hair on a window of the cafe, and walked through the entrance.

The worst thing about blind dates is that you don't know who they are or how you will meet them. Lisa saw an empty table by the far corner and she told the waiter she wanted to sit there. She started walking towards it, but someone's legs were in the way. Lisa looked at the woman, who sat with her legs on the side, as she held onto a pen and a journal.

"Excuse me." Lisa said and the woman placed her legs underneath the table. Lisa was starting to walk towards her seat, when the same woman grabbed her wrist. Lisa felt a sudden spark when the woman touched and she turned around abruptly. "I'm sorry, do we...?"
