Minki yawned as he leaned himself against the walls of his apartment, he was supposed to go with Inhyuk but... the number of things that he had for Jieun definitely wouldn't fit in the van. He grumbles as he hugged himself unsure of how to get to the academy, he didn't want to get anyone in trouble since he decided to lose his temper on a Shinhwa elder. He jumped a bit once he saw Shinhwa workers walking up to him. 'What? God damnit- did that old man send them?' the three workers stopped once they felt the tension from Dul. "Uhm.. do you think he can hear us-" the more experienced worker smacked the back of the newbies head. "He's mute, not deaf!" Dul tilted his head confused but blinked as he stared at the worker.
He gave a huge gasp as he grinned. "Jinsu!" He signed as the worker turned to take off his glasses. "Dul, you're doing well as I hoped." Dul gave little hops as he went to grab the male's hand and shake it with excitement. Jinsu was the first person who made an effort to befriend Dul. And to say the least, Dul adored Jinsu. Hell, the kid even picked up KSL just to understand the other. "Dul! Where's Jieun?" Dul nodded his head to inside and let them in. The two other workers looked confused as they were told to stay professional at all cost. But, their captain was acting like he knew the male all his life. "Uh... Thank you?" One of them said as they took off their shoes.
After half an hour, they grabbed Dul's and Jieun's stuff and drove off. Dul was confused as he stayed in front of the building as he was told by the kid but shrugged unsure what to do. He glanced at the sky, everything was peaceful. He wished he could've gotten out sooner so he could have lived more freely but even so he wouldn't have Jieun. 'At least that cult did one thing right.' he thought as he tightly hugged the child close to his body. She was almost two, she could walk on her own but she did have some difficulty. He made sure that he didn't carry her as much, making sure she either stood in the wagon or walked in a noncrowded area. He blinked a couple of times as he saw a bulky van. 'no...' he blinked as he pushed his pointer finger to the brim of his bucket hat so he could see it a bit clearer.
"Morning, you mutt!" Inhyuk shouted both cheerfully and jokingly. Dul growled as he lifted Jieun, he dashed off in a rush but of course, Inhyuk was in a van so he caught up pretty easily. Of course, the asshole was laughing while the two kids screamed for him to stop. THUD! "Oops..."
"Yah! The fuck was that! What if I didn't protect Jieun in time!" He shouted while tightly gripping on his suit while Jieun was happily sitting in her car seat with the younger two awakened. "I said I'm sorry! Stop it you're scary when you curse!" Inhyuk shouted back trying to pry Dul's hands off his suit. "Of course I'm gonna curse. Ya dimwit, you just ran me over like someone licked the damn red off your candy!" Inhyuk grinned as he pushed the male into the van. "You're so confusing! Your countryside is seeping out! Wait! Let me record this! Say that again!" Dul growled as he kicked the back of his seat. "Kiss my go-to-hell!" The older snickered as he began to drive. "Awe, is the puppy grumpy," he pointed at the front seat's cup holder. "Five extra shots of espresso an ice americano." He slightly dragged out, Boyoung and Jaehyuk choked on their spit as they heard the custom order.
There was a short pause as he stared at the drink. He launched over at he leaned on the hump and sipped on the drink. "Thanks." He signed as he stayed like that until they arrived at Jiwoo's house, he got up leaving the drink in the cup holder, and hurried to switch Jieun's seat so everyone was comfortable. He lifted the baby and glanced at her diaper. He glanced outside as everyone was arguing. 'maybe, it isn't the right time...' he thought as he rushed to change Jieun's diaper. Sure, Dul was used to many things from a baby's creations with processed food but god, he couldn't stand it when it landed on his hands.
He placed her down in the car seat, gently wiped his hands, and used a scented hand sanitizer. Dul didn't want the stinging smell to hurt his child so he often used scent ones such as bubble gum and sweet things. "Dul! You're here!" A cheerful voice piped through, Jiwoo. He gave a soft hum as he nodded. "Move it!" Jisuk shouted as he pushed Jiwoo's head away and climbed in the back with the two. Jisuk grabbed his hands and gave a slight sniff. "... Birthday cake?" He asked while everyone gave the white-haired male a weird or confused look. "Bingo." Jisuk grinned as he let go of his hands, Dul gave a small scoff and slapped the back of his head. "Don't be mean to that sweet boy and the cute one." Jisuk rolled his eyes as he leaned against the window. They finally drove off.
Thankfully, nothing bad happened, sure Jieun would cry but it was normal everyone was understanding. They stopped at a gas station and suddenly Jieun began to cry. Dul panicked as he handed her a bottle but she threw it. Everyone was looking. His breath hitched as he gently placed her on the floor but she still screamed. She gripped into his pants trying to climb up, he picked her back up but nothing was working. Everyone walked off to get something to eat, he didn't want to bother them.
Tears filled his eyes as he tried to stay strong, he was a man. Feeling helpless wasn't going to help... But the feeling was normal. Wasn't it? He is a single teen father, he had the right to feel this way... Right? Yet, why was he being judged right now? He didn't have experiences, yes, but even new mothers had trouble but when it comes to a male figure they're seen differently. Hypocrites. If it was a female they would be helping- no. 'you fucking idiot... This isn't about gender. Either way both are going to be judged no matter what.' he took a deep breath, his mind was building up with fears and it's was coming off as hypocritical even by his standards. He curled up on the floor while gently cradling Jieun. "I'm sorry." He muttered as he kissed her forehead. She stopped crying, then gently rubbed his cheek.
'That smell.' he blinked slowly as he felt himself getting tired. 'she's using her ability...' he thought tiredly as he noticed the smile on her face. 'ah.' he pieced it together. "Don't worry. I'll sleep soon." He gently whispered as he gave a soft smile, she squealed as she wiggled out of his grasp and ran towards the others when she saw them.
fun facts;;
the main reason
inhyuk calls dul a
mutt was because

he looked like one.
long unkempt hair
and ripped up clothesBONUS: :
Jieun slept cutely as Wooin carefully held her while he slept. Dul yawned as he didn't mind it since he was sure the male wouldn't drop her. He ignored the complaining teens, first, they were complaining about Jiwoo now they're complaining about them sleeping. He blinked as he felt it kick in. "Pfft... Is it starting?" Inhyuk snickered as Dul's face went pale. "Wha-" the two stayed quiet when Dul grabbed a trash can and began to throw up. "Don't worry, he just gets motion sickness. I'm surprised he held out this long. Oh! I should record this." He grinned as he did just that. Let's say, Dul isn't so happy knowing he was going to have to go back to the damn yacht. Well, there goes that Americano.
