Dul rolled to his side as he stared down at the white wall in front of him, he reached for his phone and sighed as he threw his phone off the bed. He was wondering when the academy would end. He liked the free food and such but he couldn't help but feel anxious as he never stayed away from Jiyoung for this long.
And the smell of the ocean... It reminded him of home.
He closed his eyes as he rolled to his side staring at the sleeping child who gently held into his shirt as she slept. He smiled and brushed her hair out of her face. "I wish your mother was different... Maybe I wouldn't have to raise you without a mother." He smiled sadly. He placed a kiss on her forehead and stood up to get some water. "I'll be back."
Knock knock knock!
Dul raised a brow. No one came over to where he was only Inhyuk and the brats. He was confused as he walked over and looked into the peephole. His eyes widened as he stepped back a bit. His heart was beating, why was he here? His hand shook as he slowly opened the door, he would be in trouble if he ignored the awakened.
"Ujin." The father shook as he heard his former name come out from the older man's mouth. He bit his bottom lip as the other shook under his gaze. "Sir, is there a reason you're here?" He spoke formally, something he hadn't done in years.
Seongik Han, the principal, and a powerful man waltz into the huge dorm room. A deep chuckle leaving his lips, he sat down and stared at the small imprints of Jieun. "I didn't think you'd actually come, I know you hate the sea and ocean." He spoke as he gestured the father to sit down and he obeyed.
"I lost a bet..." He whispered as the older man laughed. "Sir, what are you here for? You don't normally show up without a cause." Seongik chuckled as he clasped his hands together. A deep stare and fake yet sinister smile appeared on his face.
"I don't want you training those unaffiliates." He spoke. Straight to the point. Dul bit his tongue as his hands gripped the pillow next to him. "Sir... I'm not training anyone, I'm here as a student-" he was quickly cut off. "Yet, Inhyuk confirms that you are in fact helping those kids," Seongik stood up as he reached over to place his hand on the top of Dul's head.
"After all, one word and people will know about your childhood."
He left Dul alone to think, he let out a breath he held into as he grabbed a pillow. His ability burned the pillow as he glared at the mirror. He was disgusting. He held back a scream, he paced back and forth. "Why does he always get me in trouble." He muttered as he thought of Inhyuk.
He pushed himself up as he went to go get himself a coffee. He dug through his cabinets but only glared at the flavor that was left. Hazelnut. He dispised hazelnut anything in coffee. It was the devil's flavor and could not judge anyone who liked it.
A sticky note was placed on the bag.
'Dullie! I think we should build up your tolerance! No more coffee!'
Dul growled as he crushed the sticky note in his hand. He took a deep breath, he was just having withdrawals. He closed his eyes as he tried to focus on staying calm.
He light hummed a small tune.
A brown haired teen sighed as as played with the purple locks that laid in her lap. The purpled haired teen slept peacefully as he had his arms wrapped around her waist. She smiled softly as she touched the beauty marks on his neck.
"You're just so great." She whispered out as she stared lovingly at his face. "I wonder why you love me, it's so lovely. I can't complain." She hummed out as she closed her eyes.
"I love you..." The slightly awaken teen mumbled out as he reached out to hold her cheek. He gave a lazy smile but his eyes were full of pure love. "Because ———." His lips moved but nothing was heard.
The female giggled as she gently hugged his head. "I love you too. Go back to sleep, you're not getting any coffee."
"We should build up your tolerance."
"You're so annoying."
Dul whispered out as he remembered the memory. He touched his hair as he remembered the braid she made, the small daisies she put in and the pieces of grass that got stuck on her lavender dress. How she smelled like lemongrass that day. How bright her hair shined that day.
He paused as he hurried to stand up. "He could... She could..." He stared at the door as he grit his teeth. "Papa?" Dul shot his head over as he saw that Jieun woke up. "Hey baby." He whispered as he got back down and picked her up, he walked to the kitchen and pulled out her premade lunch.
"Dullie!" Inhyuk shouted as he walked into the dorm room with Seongha and Giwook. "Is it okay to come in?" Giwook asked while Seongha stay further away from Inhyuk. "It's fine, I made a copy of Dullie's key."
A knife flew across the room.
The three men paled as they saw a pissed off Dul.
"I had an interesting guest come by," they all looked at eachother but mostly at Inhyuk who just pointed at himself while mouthing a 'what?' "Seongik." Inhyuk stayed quiet as he tried to remember but slowly started to regret his decision. "Dul, look on the bright side-"
"Seongha, take Jieun into her room and play with her. You too, Jang."
Inhyuk tried to scramble away, but Dul had tackled him. Dul tried his best to keep Inhyuk still but Inhyuk was like a damn cat. "Stay still!" "No! Stop!"
After the small wrestle, Jieun got out of the room and threw a shoe at the two. The two other males paused at they saw the two cat and dog pause their fight. "Papa! Stop being mean to Huuk!" She shouted while Inhyuk have a smug smile.
Dul kicked Inhyuk away before going to pick up Jieun. "Sorry, Jieun, but that rat should die." Jieun gasped. "Bad!" She shouted as she let out a burst of her ability.
Her eyes shined with a bright pink as a gust of shimmering wind flowed throughout the room. At each stomp of her foot, the air she gave out became more suffocating.
"Crap!" Seongha stared in shock as Jang fumbled with his hands trying to about what to do. "Calm her down!" They all began to choke. "Damnit. Inhyuk!"
On cue, Inhyuk woke up and knocked out Jieun with a swift hit.
"Inhyuk!" "You said help!"
The two went back to arguing while the bystanders took the child to bed.
