Minki stared at his hands, they shook as he covered his face unsure what to feel. He couldn't process what had happened hours ago. 'I slapped him.' that sentence repeated, each repeat would make his throat sore. "I miss you." He whispered to himself as he hugged himself closely trying to find some warmth in the freezing cold.

Forgive and forget. Everyone had told him that for years, yet he couldn't. Forgive was something he could easily fake as everyone else did. It was human nature so why did a minor revenge hurt so much?

That was the confusing part.

A coat wrapped around his shoulders as Minki looked up to his surprise to see him. His eyes watered seeing the familiar figure. "K- Kayden?" Kayden simply stared before sitting next to the male in the roof. "Are you going to jump?" He asked with a small huff. He shook his head. "Why now? Where were you..." Kayden's hands carefully latched into Minki's.

"You're safe aren't you?" He spoke not answering. It only hurt Minki more as his question was avoided, he sobbed as his hands tightened into the hold. "Don't leave me... Please don't leave me again." The lightning affinity awakened pulled him into a hugged while caressing his hair.

"You still have a broken wing," he mumbled as he stared at the sky. "Come on now, I didn't save you so you could depend on me." His words went unheard as Minki continued to sob. Kayden felt guilty, of course he did. He left a "child" unaccustomed to the modern world by himself.

He didn't even know that there were more awakens other than the two of them at that time. "Ujin, do me a favor." He whispered while staring at the moon. It felt familiar. A small hum was heard. "Don't go back. Do not go back to who you once were, you made so much progress. Don't ruin it." Their intertwined hands loosened. "Would you help me again if I did?"

Kayden blinked seeing a younger Minki flash before his eyes. This time there were no bruises, marks or even signs he was drugged. It made him content how far he was able to stabilize himself without him.

Kayden scoffed. "For a country rat like you? No." He said sarcastically as Minki gave a soft laugh. He had stopped crying and wiped his face with his sleeve. "Hey, do you still have that tongue piercing?" He asked out of curiosity.

There was silence.

Tzzt!

"Guess it's still there." "You son of a bitch!" Kayden laughed as he disappeared. The boy had grown up well. His voice was back and he was safe. "Now, to take care of this brat." He spoke in his cat form while looking at a sleeping Jiwoo.

Minki let out a shuddering breath, the cold air now nearly pricked at his skin where his tears wet his skin. He needed to go inside now before hypothermia kicked in. He carefully climbed down the roof and headed back to his apartment. His eyes snapped over to see his younger brother standing next to his door.
