Ujin gave a shy smile as he saw the two play together. He stared at the family photos over the years he was gone. He gently traced over each one carefully, despite everything they did he could never abandon them. "Ujin!" He looked up startled as walked over to his older brother who ruffled his hair. Ujin flushed a bit before looking away.
"Did you two eat? I have a restaurant we could go to, we can talk there." Jaesung spoke softly as he gently played with his purple hair. 'It got brighter...' Ujin stared at Jieun who was giving him agressive head nods making him laugh. "Mm. Yeah, if you don't mind, I think Jieun is hungry." Jaesung stared in shock, in the moment he grabbed him by his face and stared into his eyes.
"You're hair and eyes have become so much brighter... They were a dull lilac and now they're almost like polish amethyst." He spoke happily, seeing his brother look so much better than he was then made him overjoyed. "Jaesung... When did you become so... Emotional?" Ujin spoke confused, Jaesung laugh making Ujin more shocked. He was about to answer before Ujin was pulled back.
Ujin was about to punch whoever grabbed him but stopped as he saw a worried Inhyuk who was panting. "Did you run-" he was cut off by Inhyuk who grabbed him by his jacket. "How could you be so stupid! You scared us when you disappeared, we found nothing or anything telling us you were alive or even in the country!" Ujin frowned as he tried to calm down Inhyuk but nothing worked. "I was scared you died or worse-"
Jaesung cut him off mid sentence and reached his hand out pulling Ujin out of the hold. He was pushed behind him as Jieun hugged his leg but switched once her father was by her side. "Who the hell are you? And Ujin can handle himself, he doesn't need your help or concern if he just irruptly left you and whoever behind." The two glared at eachother.
"Dul, who is he?" He glared and Jaesung who also glared back. "He's my-" Jaesung cut him off as he pushed Inhyuk back before hugging Ujin. "Tch. Look at this bastard, asking who I am." Ujin looked a bit confused. "Go with it." Jaesung whispered making him hum. Inhyuk grit his teeth. "What is this, Dul?" Ujin frowned as he looked at Jaesung, he rather not deal with this right now.
"Jaesung... Could we go to that restaurant now." He asked as Jaesung nodded happily. "Of course, Jieun want me to carry you?" Jieun shouted with glee as she jumped into her uncle's arms. Ujin turned away ready to leave with them but Inhyuk grabbed his arm. "Dullie... Are you two dating?" He pulled back his arm. "I have to go, tell Jisuk I'll call him later today." He mumbled as he ran to catch up to Jaesung.
To be honest, ignoring Inhyuk like that made him feel hurt. He never once ignored him despite Inhyuk being so annoying towards him cause he knew how painful it was to be ignored.
Inhyuk hand shook as he glared at the ground. Jisuk walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. "What the hell is wrong with you? Hurry up, Jiyoung wants us home." He gruffly said as he dragged Inhyuk back home. "I love him." He mumbled, Jisuk closed his eyes but opened them to glance back to where the male once stood. "I know." He mumbled back as he took him back.
Ujin followed his brother to a restaurant. His eyes widened as he stepped back. 'Holy fuck! This place is expensive! No! We can be here!' he paled at the thought of paying so much for something he can easily get from a supermarket for cheaper. "Jaesung... Maybe we should eat somewhere else! I saw a corn dog stand over there!" He was dragged in by his brother.
They were in the back room, a private room, tons of chefs and staff bowed to Jaesung making Ujin and Jieun confused. "Boss! We're glad to see you again! We hope to serve you well." They all shouted making Ujin stare at him. "Eh?! This bastard is the owner?!" He shouted but covered his mouth and paled as everyone was staring at him in anger. Jaesung stared in shock this time before laughing.
"Ah! That feels refreshing to hear!" He laughed as he walked over pushing him to sit down and sat across from him. He gave a fond smile. "I see you still curse like a sailor." Ujin looked away. "You're being fucking weird, you've never done this before." He mumbled making the other sigh. "After you left... We heard about it all."
Ujin snapped his head over to Jaesung with a glare. "Don't talk about that with her here." Jaesung frowned. "We tried looking for you after we left the island but there was no proof you were even a citizen..." Ujin closed his eyes as he hung his head a bit. "They never registered me as one." He said referring to their parents.
"Ujinnie... I get you hate me. I was a shitty brother, I never took anything you said seriously. I was jealous-" Ujin glared as he slammed his hand down at the table making him jump. "Jealous? You call that jealousy?" He spat out as the food came. "Look, let's continue this later. Please eat, you look like you haven't ate in a while."
"Yeah! Papa doesn't eat because it hurts to swallow!" Jieun shouted as she began to eat. Jaesung face showed guilt as he stared at his neck. A deep scar was shown as he took off his jacket that often covered his neck. "Papa, here!" Jieun shouted as she had her spoon out with some soup. He took a sip. "It's good!" He smiled at her as he took off his bucket hat.
Jaesung's eyes widened as he saw him touch the hot bowl with ease and drank it. "Isn't that hot?!" He shouted worried as he handed him some lukewarm water. "Papa is okay! He drowns himself in espresso!" She shouted. Jaesung paled at the thought as he saw Ujin stare in disgust at the ice Americano that he was served.
"Oh..." Jaesung stared before going to eat his food. The two father daughter duo laid onto the floor once they were full. "Hehe. That was good." Ujin spoke as he stretched before taking a sip of water. "Are you going?" He asked cautious as he saw Ujin stiffened. "... Yeah." Jaesung stared as he grit his teeth. "You're willing to die for that bastard?" He growled out as Ujin sighed.
"Who said I'm going there to die?" He spoke loudly as he sat up as he stared at Jieun who was sleeping. "I'm only going there to introduce them to Jieun and then I'm leaving. Simple." Jaesung sighed as he dragged his fingers through his dark hair. "You know everyone is going back home for him."
"Is that so." He mumbled as he took a sip of his water. "So the twins are going..." He stared at Jieun and closed his eyes. "I was really hoping I wouldn't have to see them." He mumbled as he stood up. "It's getting late, do you need a ride home?" Jaesung asked as he stared at a tired Ujin. "Ujin?"
"Please. Don't call me that name." He fiddled with his fingers. "I was given a new name. I prefer that one." His brother stared and smiled. "I see... What's your name now?"
Minki smiled. "Minki Yoo. My daughter's name is Jieun Yoo." Jaesung chuckled as he grinned. "Kinda similar to monkey." He replied as he leaned over and gently ruffled his hair. "I'll tell a driver to send you home." Minki nodded as he began packing up. They both soon left the restaurant.
"I really wish you wouldn't go, Minki." Jaesung whispered worried as he turned around. "Hey loser, still no friends? Well, with that face I'm not surprised." A bored male voice called out. "Haha! And you still have only one restaurant? How poor are you." A female voice giggled mocking the male who sighed and shut the door on the two. "Little shits."
fun fact;;
Jaesung was the one who
started Minki's obsession with
espresso.
