Minki frowned as he slowly pushed the now fragile hand away from his face. His eyes nearly watered as he no longer felt the need to win the man's affection or attention. It felt wrong to feel hurt by the empty feeling. "I don't think I can die for you." He whispered out, another sting. He was meant to die for his family, that was the only reason why he was living and why he lived. It was a sin for him to be selfish; to want to live.
The air was tense. "You..." His father breathe out erratically, but Minki stood up. "Inhyuk, come here please," he called out as the door opened, the said male poked his head in and gently guided Jieun to her father. "You okay?" He whispered out but Minki only gave a pained smile. "Come here, sweetheart." He whispered picking her up, he scooted the chair closer to his father and sat her in his lap. "I can't die for you, father." He brushed his fingertips against his daughter's hair, he noticed that a braid came apart so he slowly fixed the braid.
"Your... Child?" He spoke in disbelief as he stared at the small child who looked confused, he could definitely see how much she resembled his son... Who had grown up? Who didn't fall into rubble as he had thought? He didn't crawl back to them. "How old?" He asked as he continued to stare at the girl who only smiled brightly. "Three." He muttered before his father sighed loudly. "You had her when you were seventeen? A year after you left?" A nod was his only response.
"She's Eunbi." He muttered as his father's eyes widened. "Ha... Seems like not even your offspring will escape this cult." Minki pursed his lips. "Why... Did it have to be this way?" A dark chuckle was heard. "You think you're special, Ujin?" He brushed his fingers against his cheek before slapping him though it was weaker than before. He was definitely dying. "Your grandfather was the last sacrifice... He died when we found out your mother was pregnant... He felt that you had the gift of god. He wanted to escape the calamity that you would bring. So he offered himself," Ujin bowed his head. "Don't lie..." He quickly stood up not feeling the energy to stay or argue.
"You're going to die unloved by your prophet, I hope grandfather tortures you when you end up in hell." He spat out while bringing Jieun close to him. "Yeah! Go to hell, old bat!" A small chuckle left her father's lips. He sighed as he felt a hand lightly squeeze his shoulders. "You did great," Inhyuk whispered. "There you are!" A cheerful voice spoke... Inhyuk's eyes widened as he heard that voice before.
"Ujin, you came home."
"Ujin... Please come home..."Inhyuk noticed how Ujin stared at her... Jealousy was the only thing he felt as he took Jieun from him. "Is that... Is that our child?" She spoke softly taking a step closer, this seemed to snap Minki out of his thoughts. "Don't. Do not come near her." She stopped. "What- Ujin! She's my daughter as well!" Minki glared. "You don't even know her name. Just leave us alone-" he was hugged from behind as she tightened her hold. "I'm sorry... I never meant to hurt you or our baby. I made a mistake. Please... Don't leave me... You can't do that to me..." Minki made the terrible choice to look at her.
"Eunbi... I-" The air was tense as Jieun hid her face in the other's chest. "Don't." Inhyuk pulled the male closer to his chest, using his free hand to cover Minki's eyes. "Please don't look at her like that." He whispered into his ear while glaring at Eunbi who looked angry. "You're not weak anymore, you can say no. You don't belong to anyone."
She glared at Inhyuk who glared back before Jieun jumped out of Inhyuk's hold. His eyes widened as he was about to get her but she stared up at Eunbi who quickly smiled as she stared at her purple eyes that shined brightly just like her father's. "You grew up beautiful... Just like your father." She whispered as she brushed her fingers against her brown hair before Jieun slapped her hand away. "You're bad... I know what you trying to do." She spoke loudly gathering attention. Eunbi frowned. "I don't understand." Her hand flinched back as she nearly glared at the child but held onto the mask she gave, she was so close to having Ujin and now her own child is stopping her?
Why couldn't she have him? He was his first. This man... Why was he bothering her future!
Disobedient children must be punished. She clenched her fist ready to strike Jieun but she paused seeing Jieun's glare. "You aren't my mom! My mom is dead!" She shouted alerting everyone around them, they began to whisper to each other as the front desk woman began to pick up the phone. "Sweetheart, I gave birth to you," Jieun crossed her arms. "I don't know you! Uncle Inhyuk let's go! Papa looks sick!" She shouted before pushing the back of Inhyuk out of the doors. Jieun stopped before turning to the woman. "I have no mom! Papa likes Uncle! Uncle only!" Minki's eyes widened as he tried to pry Inhyuk's handoff. "Let go! Jieun stop talking!" He blurted out as Inhyuk turned away from the stares. Jieun smiled brightly before rushing over to the two taking each of their hand and walking out. "Who needs a mom anyways!"
Eunbi stared in shock as she touched her chest. There was an odd sting. She dropped to her knees staring at the fading figure of Ujin and Jieun... "Bastard," she cursed glaring at Inhyuk's back. "He was mine," she whispered under her breath before grabbing her phone, darling his mother. "Mrs. Ahn!" She covered her mouth as she began to cry. Eunbi continued to cry as she walked out of the hospital teller her about how Ujin was with a man who looked older... That Jieun was her daughter... That she had just lost having a connection due to Inhyuk's involvement.
Yeong-gi eyes widened seeing his older brother, he reached his hand for the male but Inhyuk shook his head. "Jieun, could you go with your uncle? I need to talk to your father." He spoke gently as she nodded, she ran over to Yeong-gi who looked surprised but walked away. "Minki, let's lay you down," Inhyuk carefully guided him into the room before heading to the bathroom.
His eyes widened as he stared at the photo-infested walls, he couldn't help but stare not bothering to notice that Minki had walked in. "Inhyuk?" Once he heard the voice he quickly shoved him out of the bathroom, the other made a small shout before getting a glance at the walls. "Stop," Inhyuk spoke as he brushed his hand against the other's cheek. "Don't go in there."
The bathroom was filled with pictures from the cult and activities they did for the male. Minki's eyes watered. "I... I... I'm not clean." He whispered to himself, Inhyuk pulled the male into a tight hug. "I'm disgusting." Inhyuk rubbed his back while frowning. "Stop talking like that... Stay here, I'll get rid of them," he paused as he felt arms wrap around his neck. "Don't look. Please don't look." Minki pleaded before Inhyuk slowly shut the door from behind. "I won't. I promise." He softly spoke as he listened to the sobs of that younger.
Inhyuk glared at the bathroom door as he rocked the other back and forth. "I won't let them hurt you again." He whispered once the male had fallen asleep from the crying. Jieun had come back and he made sure to tell her not to go into the bathroom. Yeong-gi was confused as he watched the older man put the child asleep next to her father. Jaesung had tagged along which annoyed the younger, he wanted to spend time getting to know the child. He was told to stay and wait. "So what is this? I didn't do anything." He crossed his arms knowing that he wasn't ready to break the little trust his older brother had in him. "Hey, stop with the attitude." He was scolded as Jaesun lightly pinched his side.
"Come here." He spoke with a stern tone as he nearly stepped into the bathroom. "I need you to get rid of these and burn them." He ordered making the younger brother stiffen. "What is it," his voice trailed off as he stepped into the bathroom. "This..." Jaesung muttered before grabbing the bathroom trash and beginning to claw at the picture, making sure that they were either ripped or damaged. He couldn't bear to see that again.
"Those fucks." Yeong-gi breathed out heavily as he noticed how Inhyuk was silent. "This... I thought... He was only..." He couldn't speak as he picked off a few photos from the wall. He covered his mouth as Jaesung snatched them away. "No, he wouldn't want you to see," Jaesung spoke as he pushed the shocked teen out of the room. It had taken him nearly an hour to rip the pictures to shreds and bagged up. He stepped out and motioned for his brother who was still in shock. "We're going to burn these, Yeong-gi, let's go." He muttered while walking out.
