Inhyuk stared in disbeilf. He didn't mean it but he couldn't help but stay silent. Minki turned around and laid back down while pulling Jieun close to his body not wanting to be alone at that moment. "Wait, Minki." He quickly scooted over to the male but was ignored. Inhyuk's frown only deepened. "I'll go sleep on the couch." He muttered before leaving that other alone.
The night was heavy for the both of them, Minki couldn't help but second guess if he was actually making excuses, Inhyuk was pissed at himself for blurting out such things.
Either way. the damage was done.
The two had packed everything. The walk to the boat was tense, Jieun hadn't woken up, only to use the restroom or for food. She had noticed the tenseness but ignored it not wanting to get in the middle. Jisuk had always warned her about getting in the middle of fights. "Ujin! Ujin Ahn!" A familiar voice rang out, the two looked confused before noticing it was his mother. The two quickly looked away from each other. "Mother?" He hummed out confused before noticing how Eunbi had looked like she was crying. "Eunbi?" Imhyuk had the urge to whisk the male away...
Pride was a powerful thing.
She sniffled as she glanced at the sleeping Jieun. "She needs a mother... Not another father." Minki's eyes glared down at her before his mother crossed her arms. "She's right, I bet you didn't raise her into a proper lady." She began to berate her son not caring if anyone heard. "To have a child being raised with no mother? How absurd!" "Are you done?" He asked boredly before handing Jieun to Inhyuk who gladly took her. "I grew up fine, didn't I?" He asked as he turned to Eunbi. "And you've never tried to reach out, I tried to get in touch with you but you never made an effort." He glared at both of them.
"And I would advise you to crush any hope on getting to know my daughter," he dug his hand into his pocket, a ring and a beautiful jade ring with the family name engraved on it. "Because I give up. I'm done chasing something that won't ever happen." He turned to Eunbi. "I won't ever have a healthy relationship with you or have full trust from you," he looked at his mother. "And I will never have a mother."
He took a deep breath. "You can try and sue me but you won't win. I have evidence of you nearly killing and using the life of my child against me." He shook his head feeling a headache come on. "And don't ever try to contact me, the both of you. I've decided to disown you as my mother and Jieun will never be considered your child. I will make sure of that." He warned as he left to get on the boat.
"Minki," Inhyuk turned to see a sleeping male. "I'm sorry for saying that to you." He whispered not having the courage to say it to his face. "I love you..." He muttered knowing that the male had lost trust in him. He didn't know how long it would take for the other to forgive him... He didn't want to know quite honestly...
They are both cowards.
