Dul wasn't normally fond of holidays, to him they were just another day but after having Jieun he grew to find happiness in them. Unfortunately, they were set to attend a Christmas party set up but the trouble four. He held back a sigh as he had JIeun dressed up in her little Christmas-themed dress which Jisuk had picked out for her. She loved it. "Papa, let's hurry before it ends!" She shouted, dragging her father out of the small apartment they lived in. "Right, I'm coming let me lock the doors and we can go." He gave her a small smile before picking her up. It was night time so the two were able to jump roof to roof without having to worry about being seen.
A breath of relief left his lips as he jumped down to the front door, which swung open, a bright smiling Jiwoo gasped seeing the father and daughter duo. "You really came!" He ushered them in as Dul looked around seeing everyone that he met but also a few new people. Thankfully, he had his hat on knowing that Jiwoo would've brought people he didn't know. Jiwoo was a teen so he wasn't angry rather a bit happy the boy was no longer alone. Jieun moved out of his arms and ran around making sure she introduced herself to everyone and talked amongst them.
Dul stayed to himself as he sipped on some tea that was set out. "This is nice." He whispered as he glanced at the people at the party. "Dullie." Inhyuk smiled as he stood next to the male with a smile. "Inhyuk, what is it?" He asked as he glanced at the ugly sweater-wearing male. "I brought alcohol for the adults." Dul raised a brow. "I can't drink Inhyuk." He looked confused as Inhyuk laughed. "True but a sip wouldn't hurt." He handed a glass to the male. "Inhyuk," he gave the glass back. "I've been sober since Jieun was born." Inhtuk's eyes widened and took the glass back. "Shit, I'm sorry I forgot." He whispered.
"It's fine, this is quite the party." The male nodded. "I'm glad for Jiwoo to have made this many friends," Inhyuk spoke with a fond smile. He nodded as well. "Those boys are so fit, aren't they?" Inhyuk chuckled. "You sound so old sometimes." To which, Dul rolled his eyes and pushed himself off the wall. "Looks like Jisul brought something, let's check it out."
"I brought a karaoke machine!" JIsuk cheered as he turned the machine on, everyone cheered and soon everyone began to sing. Jisun ran to her father and tugged at his sleeve. "Papa! I wanna sing!" Dul chuckled as he gave her a nod. "Go on." She zoomed off as Jisuk typed out the song she wanted to sing. Everyone was surprised as she began to sing in a foreign language.
Soon after, everyone goes the courage to sing their hearts out. To Dul, it was hilarious but he didn't cave into the pressure as he couldn't sing using that as an excuse. Inhyuk knew better and continued to push. "If you sing I'll pay for all of your coffee orders." As tempting as that was he didn't want to embarrass himself just for some coffee. "Until the new years." Dul took in a deep breath. "I'll buy you Purinpurin merch." Dul stood up as he walked over to the karaoke machine and began to sing.
Everyone screamed as Jieun laughed clapping her hand. She ran over, everyone sighed in relief thinking she was going to stop him. "Papa," she gave him a huge yet tired smile. "Could you sing for me?" Everyone groaned. "Of course." He coughed in his hands, he was feeling a bit nervous but he was singing for Jieun so he didn't feel as much as he would've been.
Everyone was shocked as he gently rubbed his throat, at least this time he didn't get this much pain.
