The feeling of falling took over. I was free falling to the ground below me. I waited for the impact of hitting the dry soiled earth but it never came, the pain that would follow never came. Instead a pair of arms caught me before I hit the ground, supporting my weight and lifted me up into their arms, cradling me like a baby.
"Give her to me!" I heard being shouted.
I leaned back to see Enzo looking down at me with a worrisome expression. "Get her some water she's dehydrated," He ordered ignoring Mac.
"Hand her over," he growled.
"Stop arguing," Bill spoke. "It's important that we get her to the doctor. That bitch could've done a number on her."
Enzo carried me to the car putting me inside he strapped me up and sat next to me. I pushed myself up straight, sitting next to him. He handed me the bottled of water. I took it out of his hands when he tried to feed me. I drank the water greedily.
Handing back the empty bottle to Enzo I sat back relaxing against the cool leather seat. Mac had already put the car into ignition I could see the pack house on the horizon. We reached the house shortly as Mac brought the car to an abrupt stop and threw the door open lifting me up in his arms and carried me into the house shouting at the top of his lungs. "I need a doctor! Where the hell is the doctor?"
Everyone was still asleep. The sun had barely risen and the pack house was dead quiet there was not a body insight. His shouts echoed throughout the house interrupting the sleep of everyone for sure but he didn't care.
"Where the fuck is the doctor!" He yelled as he carried me into the infirmary placing me on the bed. "Don't worry I got you," he said taking out the tools and equipment.
He sat on the ground as he used the tweezers to pull out the broken shards of glass out. I tried my best not to wince but I couldn't help it. He abruptly stood up throwing the tweezers across the room with much strength that it missed Enzo by inches as it lodged into the wall across the room.
"Let me," he said but stopped mid stride seeing Mac.
"Don't," he said towards him.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I can't get the piece of glass out!"
"Let him."
"No." He let out a low growl.
"Allow me," the female who had assisted Enzo walked into the room swaying her hips-I still hadn't gotten her name. She placed her hand on his arm rubbing it as she gave him a flirtatious smile. She held my foot, lifting it up she placed the palm of her hand on my foot and closed her eyes.
She was interrupted when Alpha Archer came in with the doctor in training and nurses. "The pack doctor is away on business," he explained.
They rushed me to the ultrasound room checking the baby as the baby was number one priority. He used the wand probing around for a while.
"What's wrong? Is everything okay?" He didn't say anything as he did the scan. Once He had finished the nurses helped me clean up the gel off my stomach as my arms were killing.
"The baby is fine," he informed me with a sympathetic smile. "Heart beat is healthy and strong. I'm aware you don't know the gender of the baby yet, would you like to know?"
