I sat on the grass with my phone in my hands tossing it between the two, I had been like this for some time now, playing with the phone in my hand. I needed to call him, I had to, I've been procrastinating for the past two days he had a right to know.

I searched through my contacts until I found him in my contact list as Fun who calls themselves that? I hit the call button. It had to be done, I left it too late anyways. I racked my brain thinking of his name as I waited for him to pick up.

"Hello?" His gruff voice answered.

Woah, even his voice had an effect on me and he wasn't even here. "Erm, hello? Hi, urmm...it's Cara from the club?"

"And?" Rude much?

"Urm is this..." Shit I can't remember his name. "The guy I had the one night stand with?" I finished lamely.

"What?"

"About two months ago? At a club Lux?"

"Right, Cara...what is it you want?"

"Maybe we could meet up for a coffee, next time you're in town?" I asked hopeful.

There was a long phase on his behalf. "This coming Friday I will be in your area, how about one?"

"Great, I can't do one, how about half twelve at the café opposite the hotel?"

"Til then." And the line was dead. A man of few words.

"How did it go?" Michie asked making me jump .

"I don't know." I told her. "I guess it went as good as it was going to get."

She nodded.

"How did you find me?"

"What kind of question is that?" She asked.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, before everyone else."

"It's okay."

"I was avoiding meeting Evelyn which led to avoiding you as well."

"When are you meeting him?"

"This Friday."

"Friday, isn't Friday the day when everyone's supposed to be at the pack house because Evelyn's family's coming over and the 'official' introductions going to be made?"

"Yeah, I'll meet him sort this shit out and then go to the pack house."

"What about your dad?"

"I called him and told him it was nothing to worry about and it was a false alarm and no need to come home. He told me that's nonsense and it was his opportunity come home and be with us. The alpha then stepped in saying he needs to be introduced to the future Mrs Finn Archer and her family so he is coming."

Michie gleamed. "Your dad's a badass. He's the one who sorts out anyone who pissed off the Alpha. A mean killing machine."

"I don't think he even works for our alpha, Finn's dad."

"Either way your dad is a badass." Damn right she was, he was a badass and the guy to be the father of my child better have a good deal with a witch or a demon on coming back to life.

"We got movie night at Finn'," she said getting me up and then helped me up off the ground. "You coming?"

"Urm, sure." It couldn't be that bad could it? I hadn't seen him since that night when he burst into the infirmary shouting.

We walked to the house, it was far, much further than it used to be. This field was behind my house and I was sitting by the little creek where a stream would flow through. The walk seemed to take forever. "Call Dan," I told her. "Tell him to pick us up from my house. Zak's already there."
