I had been up for hours, trying different pieces of clothing on seeing which made me look less pregnant before going down l, I extra picky how that my dad had woken up and was probably sipping on his morning tea.

I changed out of the black top and put on a black body con dress. I loved the way it hugged my bump. Being pregnant wasn't the issue nor was the fact that I was still in my final year of my teens or the fact that I was living at home with my brother and father. The issue was being pregnant and single with a one night stand, with a man who I don't love nor do I know very well who has major anger issues as displayed yesterday. They were the issues.

My phone buzzed, bringing my train of thoughts to a stop. I changed out of the dress into a stripped long sleeve top and a pair of old joggers before I checked my phone.

It was a text from Zak:

Whenareyougoingtocomedown, he'saskedaboutyoutentimesnow! Iknowyou'vebeenawakeforhoursnowandsodoesheyoumightaswellcomedown. Ifyoudon'tcomedowntoeatsoonhe'sgoingtocomeupandIwon'tbeabletokeephimaway. Sohurryup.

Thanks for the heads up. I went into the bathroom following my morning routine and left for the kitchen where my family was.

"Cara," my dad beamed as I entered his line of sight."Layering on for the summer I see." He joked.

"Hey dad," I greeted him making my way over to Zak who pulled out my plate of breakfast from the oven. I sat down along the counter, keeping some distance.

"Zak told me you weren't feeling too well," he said never taking his eyes off me.

"Right, it's just a cold."

His hawk like eyes never taking their eyes off me. "What is this?" He asked in an barely audible whisper after what felt like ages of starring and analyzing.

"What?" I asked.

"What's what?" Zak asked as stopped pouring the orange juice and slowly discreetly manoeuvred around the counter closer to dad slowly moving all breakable objects out of arms reach.

"Stop." He said lifting his hand motioning the universal stop sign.

Zak froze on his spot looking torn.

"Now I am going to ask for an explanation once." He said looking between the both of us.

I opened my mouth to explain but nothing came out. What was there to say? It is what it looks like. I looked at Zak to help me out but he seemed frozen.

"Well?" He asked looking between the two of us. "...explain!"

Zak opened his mouth to speak only to be silenced.

"I want this explanation from you," he pointed at me.

"It is what it looks like?" I stuttered out.

"Phew, that's a relief," he said wiping away the fake beads of sweat. "I thought it looked like you were pregnant but weren't what a relief!" He deadpanned. "I want a name, who, when, where, species and how?"

"The how parts obvious," Zak mocked. "Unless you need us to jog up that old memory of yours. I knew you were old dad didn't know this old."

"Zip it."

"It was with a guy," I began.

"Of course it's with a guy, no female can do that to you!" He snapped. "If it was a female you seriously need a talking to. Are you in a relationship with this man, is it a one night stand, do you even know who the father is? Is it Finn? I bet it is"-he jumped out his seat sending the stool flying-"just wait till I get my hands on him, just you wait, all of you kids! Kids! That's what you are!"
