Two weeks on from finding out I was pregnant. I did nothing within that time I just about accepted it. I knew I should tell my brother and most importantly the baby's father but I couldn't bring myself to think about it, the concerning thought grew small at the back of my head.
I was now two months along even though I looked four months. My jeans were becoming snug and I was having a battle putting them on. I starred at myself wrapping a protective arm around my bump.
"Cara come on," Zak called from downstairs. "Hurry up!"
Since finding out I was pregnant, things have changed I was much more an active member of the group now, yeah that's right I hang out with Finn and his 'Ting'. But it doesn't bother me that much, I still have my best friend and brother and I even talk to Eli.
I pulled on my light blue jeans, it was the lightest I had. It was warm out, were in the mist of our summer and surprisingly it was warm all around and we were going to make the most of today. I tugged on the jeans forcing it to go higher to at least go past my thighs but they didn't budge, not one bit, over the past weeks they had become snug but I didn't think I put on so much weight that I didn't fit into them no more. I picked out a top and put it on. It did me no justice, nor did I do it any justice. I stood in the middle of my room half dressed, as my eyes filled with tears and spilled over.
"Cara," my brother came into my room. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"I'm fat, and big and gigantic and none of my clothes fit me now." I sobbed.
He stood awkwardly by the door unsure what to do. Given any other situation he would've swopped in and sorted it. Give him a crying girl and he's left horror struck. I wasn't much of a crier, I definitely wasn't a public crier so for him to be hindered speechless was understandable.
He looked around the room avoiding eye contact, I could tell he was looking for a way out of here. "Cara, you don't have to wear that. Why don't you wear a dress?" He suggested.
"You're right," I told him moving to my wardrobe, he took that as an opportunity to leave me to it. I brought out a cotton duck egg blue big dress from my wardrobe. It wasn't skin fitting which gave me breathing and bump space too. The dress came in contact with the end of my bump ever so slightly which was fine since it was figure hugging and didn't make me look so big. Happy with the way I looked I went downstairs to find breakfast already on the table, scrambled eggs on toast with a light sprinklings of cheese and a glass of orange juice. Finishing breakfast I poured myself a bowl of cereal. Just as I finished washing up the doorbell rang.
"Cara, would you get that?" Zak called from upstairs.
Leaving the bowl on the drying rack, I made my way to the door. On the door step stood a pretty blonde girl, with sun kissed skin and shiny hair. She was quiet tanned for a Brit.
"Hey Leighton," Zak greeted from behind me. "Come on in," she gave me a tight smile and barged in pass me. She sashayed on in following after my brother.
I starred after their retrieving figures. I all but slammed the door shut and went into the living room. "Zak," I called. "Your control pads are broken."
"What!?" He shouted as he stormed into the living room.
"Glad I got your attention."
"My control pad!"
"Chill, they're not broken."
"Why'd you say that?"
"To get your attention. What is she doing here?" I whisper shouted. She was a girl from the pack, we weren't exactly beefing or anything it's just Leighton here is a total snob of course her reasons are valid after all she's a werewolf, I, however, am not one and that also means I should not be hanging out with the Alpha and the Beta.
