I sneaked into the house, quiet as a mouse with my heels in one hand and purse in the other. I shut the front door quietly as possible without disturbing Zak if he was asleep, but hopefully he's out the house.

As throat was cleared behind me. I knew who it was, and my sneaky quietness didn't get passes him, did it? I turned slowly to be greeted by an angry Zak with his arms folded across his chest. He starred me down until his phone rang.

"Call off the search," he said through gritted teeth. "She's home."

I don't see why he's so pissed off I'm a fully grown women legally allowed to make my own decisions and most importantly my walk of shame wasn't so bad I was cleaned up smelt fruity fresh with the slight hint of manly musk from Mac, I just took off my heels after the cab left the driveway, so yeah I was a lot classy than most I know. Michie could've warned me there was a full on man hunt with people searching for me. It was little after half two meaning I haven't been gone for twenty four hours so that isn't bad and I'm back the next day so I don't understand why he's behaving the way he is. It's not like it's my first time having a one night stand.

"Morning," I greeted with a slight smile. "Well, actually afternoon." He continued to stare me down. I dropped my heels at the door and walked into the kitchen where I stopped my clutch on the counter where Zak followed me to. I opened the fridge getting out the orange juice. "So what crawled up your arse and died?" I asked as I sipped my juice, seeing he wasn't going to be speak up any time soon.

He starred at me blinking a few times before a low growl emitted from his throat.

"Look I was safe and careful we used protection," -I hope- "so I don't see why you are behaving like this, it isn't the first time I've done this and you know it. There were other times I came home the next morning."

"I know!" He finally spoke. "But this time it's different..."

"Oh really, how so?"

"Usually it's because you're out looking for some fun, but this one it's... It's after a break up, you just got out of a relationship and its pretty reckless you going out on your own..."

"Thanks Zak, thanks for the reminder it's almost like I forgot I was dumped, I know I got dumped and that was the aim to go have fun and do something slightly reckless and I've achieved that but don't you bring up the break up if I wanted to talk about it I would've by now but I haven't so let's leave it at that."

Zak nodded in agreement and settled into the chair.

"So how was the pack meeting?"

"Not really interesting, just the usual. We had a new comer join the pack."

"Oh really?" I ask. "What's his name."

"Her name is Evelyn."

"Cool," I nodded. "I'd like to meet her." I don't know why I just said that. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to meet her, I had feeling she was Finn's mate. Hmm, it'd be nice to meet the girl I got dumped for.

"You coming?" Zak asked popping into my room.

Today was the monthly pack meeting when all the big revelations happen, before that at the end of the week the current alpha, soon-to-be alpha, the current beta, the soon-to-be beta and third in command gather with the elders and have a meeting and if anything noteworthy came up they'd tell the rest of the pack in the pack meeting. Honestly I didn't see why he was asking if I wanted to go, if I did I'd see pity in the eyes of everyone I know, because my suspicions were confirmed the new member was Finn other half and why would I want to be in the room with my ex, his current girl and a bunch of people pitying me. "Err, I don't see why I have to go." I told him.
