2.5 months along but look 5 months along"You look like shit." Zak complimented me as I entered the kitchen.
I couldn't sleep at all. I spent most of the night tossing and turning and hearing that from Zak first thing in the morning made me smile. Over the last two nights I just about got eight hours of sleep altogether. No sleeping position was working all of them awkward and uncomfortable leaving me restless.
"Eat up," Zak said handing me a full English and went to clean up the rest of the kitchen. "I'm heading off to the pack house to help out in a few minutes."
I stared down at my breakfast the sight of sausages made me sick, an intense need to throw up overwhelmed me. I tried to swallow the feeling, "oh god I think I'm going to be sick," I mutter running to the downstairs bathroom where everything came out. After sitting on the floor dry heaving, Zak helped me up and up the stairs.
"Do you want me to stay with you?" Zak asked as he dropped me off to my room.
"No, I'm fine." I assured him. "You go help," I encouraged him. "And if I'm feeling up for it I'll come down."
"Okay, I'll come pick you up at one be ready."
I bid him goodbye and went to shower. The smell of vomit was all over me, making me feel disgusting.
The shower did me justice, I feel so much better after that. I didn't do much after that just laid in bed curled up into a ball.
The loud buzzing grew constant shaking my bed, jolting me awake. The never ending shrill of the doorbell echoed throughout the house, intensifying my headache.
I picked up my phone without looking at the caller ID. "What?" I snapped down the line, my voice full of sleep and slightly deep.
"Cara?" The other person asked.
"Who's this?" I growled back.
"Eli."
"Eli?" I asked surprised. "What's up?"
"I'm here to pick you up."
"Pick me up? I really doubt you could do that."
"Not like that," He chuckled. "I'm here to take you to the party."
"Hold up," I said as o struggled out of bed and down the stairs to the front door. "I don't want to go." I told him.
His back was facing me, he turned to face me. "You're not even ready!" He all but exclaimed.
"I was asleep." I told him.
"I can see that."
"I'm not feeling up to it," I told him as I headed back up the stairs, I had no doubt he was following me.
"You have to go," he told me.
"No, I don't have to go," I told him as I climbed back into bed and under the duvet again. "Do you really want to really do a boring meet and greet with the new pack?"
"Not the entire pack, just the immediate family."
"Even then, some wolf immediate families are the same as a small pack."
"It's an order by the Alpha."
I smiled at him sweetly. Order by the alpha. "That's the difference between you and me. If I was a wolf, those words would've had an effect on me now but I'm not so they mean absolutely nothing."
Eli let out a low growl. "Pick up your phone."
"What?" Just then my phone began ringing. It was Zak. "Hello?"
