I was startled awake at four in the morning drenched in my own sweat. I couldn't recall any dream that I might've had but I couldn't shake the unnatural feeling that consumed me right now. I lay perfectly still starring at the ceiling as I calmed my erratic breathing.

There was no point in laying here any longer, with my mind made I got up and stripped the bedding and draw myself a hot bath. At some point I had dozed up to only to be awaken to the sound of hammers and drills and lawn mowers. Rinsing off I got out and wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and headed to my room. I dressed in a simple light grey tent dress paired with black platform sandals. My hair dried an into a high curly ponytail.

I headed downstairs to see where there was so much noise so early in the day. I looked out the kitchen to see workers putting together rides, there was a Ferris wheel that had been put up and a carousel that was being put together. I could see from where I stood men walking up and down the dimly lit garden the sun was about to rise, the sky was lit with oranges and blues. I made some toast for myself and heading out into the garden with my breakfast in hand when I spotted the one man who could give me a clear answer.

"Good Morning," Bill greeted me as I stood next to him.

"Morning," I mumbled back, "So what's going on here? I know for a fact I didn't arranged this; I don't have the financing for it."

"I know, I called this in."

"You only found out yesterday, how could you organise all this in such a short period of time?"

"It wasn't easy, it took some persuasion to get this happening."

"Why are you doing this?"

He turned to face me, I could tell he was thinking over what he was about to say, for the first time since I met him he was an open book, he wasn't the big bad royal alpha he just was a man. A soft smile broke across his face as he spoke, "I guess it's time to rebuild some very badly damaged bridges."

"I invited my family and friends for the fundraiser."

"I know."

Of course, he knows, he is the alpha after all.

"They all have RSVP; the Alpha and his wife send their regards and are sorry they couldn't make it but sent Finley in their place and it'd be nice to have my daughter home." He smiled, "Thank you for sending the invites out."

We stood for a moment before heading inside and went our separate ways.

It was sometime just before nine when the doorbell rang, everyone was up earlier than usual and everything was in full swing, the fundraiser was about to begin in an hours' time the entire community would be soon milling around. I opened the door to find all my friends here with the still nasty surprise of Finn and his fiancée/wife whatever she was and sadly this was her home, so I had no say.

"Oh my gosh, you have grown so big," Michie exclaimed as she placed her hands on my bump and then came up to hug me.

I wrapped my arm around her hugging her tightly before pulling away. "I should be," I said chuckling and wiping the tears that managed to get out. "I'm seven months along in werewolf months. Human months I'm just three and a half months along. My little bugger is definitely a wolf."

I stepped out the way, letting them in. I made no attempt to hug Finn or Evelyn except give them a tight-lipped smile as they hung out at the back of the group.

"Hey bro," I greeted my brother with a not so soft punch to the arm. "Miss me?"

He let out a low chuckle before pulling me into a hug, "definitely." He mumbled. "How are you feeling?"
