"So, I take it you're feeling a little better about things with Taehyung?" Seulgi ventured, passing the popcorn, giving her youngest son a sideways glance. He sighed a little, knowing this conversation was going to crop up. He knew his mother well, and she didn't want to let go of this thing between him and Taehyung.
"What do you want to know?" He asked, pausing the movie they were watching and turned to his only parent, placing his raspberry drink down on the side table.
"Are you going to accept him?" Jimin put in from the cuddle chair he was currently occupying, and Jungkook rolled his eyes.
"I want to," he stressed a little. "He's beautiful, and amazing. God knows, I want to." He bit his red, raspberry infused, bottom lip.
"But?" Seulgi encouraged him to elaborate, her eyes dark and intrigued.
He looked between his mother and his brother wondering how truthful he should be. Should he go the route of, well it could all just be the product of a spell, or the other, more scary route? The route that takes into account trust, loyalty, pain and fear.
"Apart from the fact that everything we're both feeling, could be nothing more than the effects of the twining spell, I don't know if I'm just afraid." He sighed and rubbed his forehead, his eyes catching his mother's gaze.
"Afraid?" she asked, and put the popcorn bowl onto the side table.
"Afraid he'll hurt me," he answered quietly, his face flushing a little.
Not that he was a woose or anything, but he had the feeling that if Taehyung chose to, he could really break his heart.
Who needs that?
"Love doesn't come with guarantees, Kookie," she told him with a smile, her heart breaking a little for her baby. First love can be the most wonderful as well as the most terrifying.
"I know that," he groused a little. "It's just, I feel that if I cave in and accept him, accept this-this whatever it is between us, I'll be his forever. I'll be lost. Shit!" He raises his voice in frustration.
"I'm not explaining it right! I-when I look at him, I want to give myself up to it, to him. I want to drown in him and never look back. I want to give him everything. My love, my life," he croaks softly, his eyes sparkled with feeling. "My heart." He looked levelly at his mother.
"What if he doesn't feel the same?""I don't think that's going to be a problem," Seulgi said softly, smiling a little, her heart twisting at the look on her son's face.
"Besides," she gave a small, sympathetic smile, "you don't seem to have much of a choice," she said and raised a hand to stroke his hair softly. "Either of you.""Because of the bond?" He asked, his voice husky soft, as his eyes searched hers.
"No," she answered, shaking her head slightly, her hand lingered in his hair. "Despite the bond, Jungkook."
He looked a little confused and she chuckled. "He let you mark him."
"Did I though? Mark him, I mean," he asked in a quiet voice, his eyes swivelled to his brother who had approached and sat down on the arm of the sofa.
"Shit, yeah!" Jimin smiled, his eyes alight at the memory.
"We all thought you were going to pull him to the floor and fuck his brains out!" He exclaimed, a little excited, making his mother playfully slap him."My son is so crass," she muttered with an eye roll, before continuing. "But yes, you marked him and he allowed it."
"So, he's my bitch now?" He asked, surprise in his tone. Funny, it didn't feel anything like that.
