Everyone was shocked, but accepted the fact that Jungkook would be finishing up with high school within the end of the month. Although he didn't actually have to, he thought he owed it to certain teachers and friends to finish joint assignments and hand in end of term essays.

There was some grumblings though when they found out he'd be going to work under the wing of his grandfather. Another reason for more than a few digs and glares aimed at Kim Taehyung. He devastated little Kookie so much he drove him into the arms of his maniac of a grandparent.

He was sharing one last lunchtime with his peers including Taehyung and Yoongi, who was still being blown off by Jimin, and Yoongi's old human friend, Eric.
Eric Nam was a very charismatic young man who helped Yoongi a lot in the music department, but for the past 9 months or so he'd been helping his family on their farm as his father had been ill with cancer. It had been a long, arduous haul, but it had all been worth it.

Taehyung was sitting at the far side of the table reading a novel, the soft breeze blowing his blonde locks gently on his head as he tried his hardest to block out the happy chit chat and laughter going on around him. He was ultra aware of Jungkook who for a change was being very up beat. A lot more upbeat than he had been since that night at the party.

"I can't believe you're leaving us, Kook!" Yugyeom whined dramatically, throwing his arm around Jungkook's shoulders, pulling him close.

"Yeah, what's with that? Just as I arrive to find someone interesting's joined the school, only to have him leave?! I have to say, I feel strangely wounded!" Eric said, his dark eyes sparkling as he looked at their youngest. It was obvious the little human was taken with the gorgeous young vampire.

"Life doesn't begin and end with high school you know." Jungkook winked at Eric, his bunny smile adorable.

"Ooooh!" Hoseok laughed, nudging Jungkook so, that Yugyeom lost his grip on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Does this mean you're going to give me your number?" Eric teased, his handsome face lit up.

"Now that would be telling, wouldn't it?" Jungkook asked, biting his bottom lip as he stared at the handsome human.

"Eric my man." Baekhyun clapped the boy on the shoulder. "I do believe you're in with a chance!"

"Can't ask for more than that." Eric smiled and stole one of Jungkook's fries from his plate.

"Kook doesn't exactly date any more," Yugyeom piped up. "Right, Kooks?" He beamed a smile at the younger.

That statement had Taehyung raising his dark eyes from the book he was pretending to be immersed in. It also set off a cacophony of hisses and groans around the table.

"Yugyeom," Yoongi said, looking pointedly at him as did the younger vampire.

"Just saying! He's indulging in some bro time for now!" He laughed, squishing the younger's shoulder, the action territorial.

"And the mouthpiece rears it's jealous head once more." Taehyung's deep voice floated across the table. All heads turning momentarily to him.

"Shut up, whore," Yugyeom snapped, his face flushing.

"Yes. Shut up, whore." Jimin spoke up, glaring at the blonde vampire for a moment. "But he's not entirely wrong," he said looking between Eric and his brother.

"Chim." Jungkook grabbed his brother's hand, giving it a small squeeze, shaking his head as he looked up at him. Conveying he didn't want to drag his personal business up to someone he's just met.
