Although it wasn't anything like the grand Christmas ball Wonwoo had planned for the town, this somewhat downsized affair was still pretty spectacular. It was held at Jeon Enterprises main ball room, not as large or as classy as the estate, but still rather glitzy when it was kitted out for certain occasions. Like this one. A pre Christmas get together for family and a few select friends and associates.

The room was decorated with the very best quality silks and satin ribbons and bows, roped across the ceiling, in rich greens, gold, and beautiful bright red. Traditional Christmas colours, gathered in corners with the finest hand painted porcelain baubles and balls hanging elegantly from them. A Christmas tree stood 15 feet in height, its branches draped in matching colours, it's bright lights twinkling merrily despite the room itself being brightly lit.

The boys had all been summoned to attend, along with several prominent family heads and a few select and favoured humans and witches. Anything to make up the numbers. None of the boys wanted to be here, but from their perspective it was a good opportunity to witness Yugyeom's behaviour with Wonwoo, after all, he wouldn't be able to hide it from them if he didn't know he was actually being observed, now would he?

Lisa herself didn't want to be here and neither did her now 'not' girlfriend Irene, but they both agreed after many conversations, that were lit with pain and tears, to play a part in front of Lisa's father and of course Wonwoo.
Still, it needed to be done, and what would give the show more credence is the fact that Taehyung and Jungkook were now broken up, and the reactions of Jungkook, his brother, and their friends, would be real. She couldn't help but feel sorry for Taehyung on this count, even if it was his own fault for cheating on someone as beautiful and amazing as Jungkook.

Seulgi, HaRi, Jisoo and Jennie had made the rounds, chatting and smiling, complimenting and engaging people as usual. Anything to make the time go faster. It was only just 8 pm and no one would dare leave before midnight, Wonwoo wouldn't like that. Can't have anyone saying his party sucked, now can we? No. So these particular ladies went with the flow and numbed a very dull occasion with copious amounts of champagne and making idle chit chat with people they didn't like.

Music played in the back ground, as Wonwoo watched his guests get tipsy, and fawn over each other, spouting lies about how much they liked them and feigned interest in them, their brats and their meagre accomplishments in the business world. He liked to see them, see who they zeroed in on, as sometimes you found out some juicy information, and information, as always, was power.
It amused him watching how they spewed meaningless platitudes to each other, while stabbing each other in the back, by repeating what they heard to other friends, or indeed to Wonwoo himself. As they all vied for his approval, he knew any information he garnered from them, he could trust it. It also meant he didn't have to hand over a single penny to any of them, as most of them were willing to stab so called friends in the back for free.

Yugyeom was positively glowing, his fever bright eyes watching Jungkook as he'd arrived at the party on his own. Not that he would be alone for long, for a fair amount of girls and boys had hovered around him since his break up from Tae. Some wanting him because he was simply Jungkook, sweet, funny, warm, and undeniably gorgeous. And some wanted him purely because he was the great Jeon Wonwoo's grandson.
Anyway, not that it mattered, Jungkook never looked at any of them, and since he'd quit school, it was hard for any wannabe's to get their claws into him.

Jimin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Baekhyun, Namjoon and Jin all arrived together, followed a little shortly by Hoshi and Dino. And as always they seemed to congregate together, like a little impenetrable circle. All had drinks in their hands, and all were as equally bored as their mothers looked.
