"Dada." I felt tiny hands on my face waking me up. I opened my eyes slowly to see my baby girl Noel.
Smacking me in my face with a smile on hers, "Hey baby girl." I picked her up kissing her cheek and tickling her sides.
"Where's your mommy at?" She got off me and stood on the floor.
"We watch cartoons." She spoke holding her arms up, making me smirk and pick her up.
"Y'all were watching cartoons, without me?" I carried her as I walked into the living room to see Stacey—my girlfriend and mother of my child, sitting on the couch.
Tom and Jerry on the tv. This really a classic.
"What time is it mama?" I spoke to Stacey sitting next to her on the couch sitting Noel in between us.
"Going on 4, you said you were gonna take a nap for 15 minutes and been sleep for 3 hours." She said.
"Pfft, I was tired." I wrapped my arm around her shoulder.
"I know, that's why I let you sleep." She kissed my cheek.
"You could go to the grocery store for me and get some pasta for the spaghetti?" She asked me making me groan.
"I don't want no spaghetti."
"You gone cook for the three of us then?" Me asked making me shake my head. "That's what I thought."
"Yea, yea, yea. I'll get it on my way back. I'm finna go down to o'block to check on Ice." I said standing up.
"How she doing?" She asked me pulling her eyes from the tv.
"Some says she good, other days she walk around like a zombie, and then sometimes she in the house for a week." I shook my head.
"I feel bad for that girl." She said and I agreed walking into the room grabbing my car keys and cell phone.
"Alright, I'a be back in like a hour. I love you." I walked back in the living room kissing Stacey.
"I love you too, Noel." I smiled kissing her cheek.
"Love you baby, be safe." She said and I nodded leaving out of the house.
