As my last client of the day left I locked the door behind her going to clean up and put everything away.

I was the only one left in the shop so I had to lock up tonight.

For some odd reason, I loved to lock up because it meant that I was alone in a place I loved.

I aspire to open my own tattoo shop someday, become my own manager.

As I put everything away for the day my mind couldn't help but wander to think about Kamari. I haven't talked to her in 4 days. She hasn't tried to reach out and talk to me either.

I guess she's given up and moved on. Even though it's just a guess I hope she hasn't.

Sighing I wiped down the chair and closed the drawers and throwing away my trash.

Lastly, I grabbed my phone and purse off the counter turning off all the lights and walking out the back door locking it behind me.

It being 10, it was already dark and my car was the only one in the lot. Once I got to the car door I saw someone walking inside the parking lot.

Rushing I grabbed my keys out of my purse and unlocked the doors getting inside and locking it behind me.

Settling into the car, someone knocked on the passenger side window and I looked over to see Kamari.

I rolled down the window halfway, "You following me now?"

"Quit playing around and unlock the door." She said looking at me.

"I don't want to talk to you if you high, Ice," I told her.

"I'm not on that right now, I only smoked." Sighing I unlocked the door and she opened the door getting in while I rolled the window back up.

She wore a light blue hoodie with some light grey sweatpants.

"I was about to go home, but I don't want you over my house right now. So can you say whatever you want to say so you can go?" I told her and she nodded.

"I shouldn't have said all that stuff to you Makayla, so I wanted to apologize. You didn't deserve that, the yelling, and I didn't mean to put all my problems on you." She started eyes panning over to mine mid-sentence.

"I shouldn't have lied to you, and people always say that they wish they could take stuff back. But I wouldn't take it back because if I did and it wouldn't of happened I wouldn't have seen that I needed to change for the better." She put her hand on top of mine. "For myself and for you too."

"I didn't mean to hurt you, but you made me realize that I have people here for me. So I'm asking for your help. To help me off the drugs, and I know it's going to be a long process and if you don't want to stick around for that just let me know."
