Inuyasha and Kagome

Chapter 2

I woke up to some shaking me violently and large hands gripped tightly on my shoulders.

"KAGOME! KAGOME ARE YOU OKAY!?" It was Inuyasha.

"I'm fine I just fell asleep, it's okay." I said very annoyed that someone woke me from my beautiful slumber. I looked over to see Sango in nothing but a towel with a worried expression. I smiled at her generously and she smiled back.

"ARE YOU STUPID!? YOU COULD OF BEEN EATEN OR KIDNAPPED OR SOMETHING!" Inuyasha was furious. It seemed like he was actually was worried.
I didn't say anything. I got on my knees and put my arms around his neck.

"Thanks for caring." I said, burying my face into his shoulder as I felt embarrassment rush to my cheeks.

He sat there in shock and blushed slightly.

"It's nothing everyone was, not just me, don't get so soft." He said as he wrapped his arms around me also, surprisingly. Usually he would of brushed me off or ignored my act of kindness.

My legs felt like noodles and I was still extremely tired. I wasn't sure if I could or want to walk back to our small campsite. "Inuyasha, can you carry me? I'm really tired." I said grogidly.

"Uh-uhm sure I guess." He picked me up bridal style and walked awkwardly back towards our fire with my arms still wrapped around his neck. Well he was awkward, I was perfectly fine just where I was.

"Ah now that that's over and we're not so worked up. Sango, would you mind walking with me?" Miroku turned to Sango and she turned to a light pink.

"Uhm sure. But I swear munk if you try anything you'll regret it." She said dryly as they forged together and walked slowly after us. Sango wrapped the towel tighter around her body so Miroku couldn't look down her towel.

"Oh please I have more self respect than that." He smirked. Just then his hand reached out and grasped Sango's butt.

Sango's face twisted into anger and frustration. "SELF RESPECT HUH!" She turned around and gave Miroku a large red hand print on his cheek.

"Sick munk.." Sango mumbled as she walked away. I giggled to myself. He'll never learn.

"What did you say?" Inuyasha said kindly as he smiled down at me.

"Oh, nothing. I was just laughing, that's all." I said but if only sounded like a muffle on his Kimono.

Once we got back to Kirara and Shippo. Shippo jumped up.

"Kagome are you all right?" He said nervously, his green eyes wide with concern.

"She's fine she went for a walk and fell asleep." Inuyasha said. He laid me down softly next to Kirara and I fell asleep almost instantly.

(Inuyasha POV)

Everyone had fallen asleep. I was sitting on the other side of the fire all alone. I lifted my head up and stared at Kagome as she was sleeping on the other side.

She's so beautiful and kind.

I smiled slightly and just watched her. Her eyes are like chocolate glistening stars, no one's smile can compare to her beautiful one, her scent is like lavenders in a- WAIT NO STOP! She doesn't even like you!

I'm such a dick to her I'm surprise she stuck around for so long.

I sat there staring at her worried that one day she'll snap. She'll leave and never come back and it will be all my fault.

I looked down at my clenched hands as I slowly drifted to sleep.

As darkness turned to light I woke up to the smell of food cooking. I looked up and saw Kagome making eggs. Where did she get eggs?

She looked at me and smiled that kind smile that only she can do.

"Morning sleepy head. Everyone's already up. Sango and Kirara went to get more wood and Shippo and Miroku are bathing. Here I made you some breakfast."
She handed me a plate of eggs. I took it and started eating it without looking at her.

"Inuyasha, is something bothering you? You seem a little.. uncomfortable." She said as she sat down with some eggs on her plate. I simply just shook my head. She stared at me for a couple of seconds before standing up.

"Fine, I'm gonna go find Sango and help her." She said sternly. She set her untouched eggs onto the ground next to her as she stood up and walked away.

I watched her as she stomped angrily into the woods.

That was such a dick move. I should of said something. GOSH STUPID STUPID STUPID! I mentally smacked myself in the head.
(Kagome POV)
What's gotten into him? It's he upset about last night? I probably shouldn't of done that. I'm so dumb! He knows! Oh God he's never gonna act the same again!

I kept walking into the forest taking random turns and walking in unknown directions. Honestly I had no idea where I was going and no idea where I was so I couldn't go back.

Just then I heard a stick crack behind me. I whipped around to look who it was but there was no one there.

"Sango? Kirara?" I said I shouted into the abios.

There was no answer, only a body shape emerged from behind the tree. It didn't really look like a body really. It was a plump torso at the top with tentacles coming out of the bottom.

"Hello Kagome." He said coldly.
