The next few days went like a big blur. We did some more rituals and what not, to see if Kagome was just in some kind of coma or something. But one thing peculiar happened, something none of us suspected.

Kagome's skin started to turn a dark purple color. At first I thought it was her body decaying and it made me feel really upset. Then her skin started to bubble and her body started to change. Her legs merged together to form a snake like tail, and her face shifted so her eyes were big, her teeth turned into fangs.

"What's going on?" I turned to Shiraku.

"I'm not sure?" She said staring astonished at Kagome who was squirming on the floor.

"What do you mean you're not sure! You did something!" I shouted, and turned back to Kagome. I knew I couldn't do anything but sit and watch. It made me feel like crap but I had to live with it.

Once this "transformation" was over what we thought was Kagome. Actually wasn't her at all. It was a small purple demon that had some kind of spell on it to look and sound like her.

"So Kagome wasn't here this whole time!" I had jumped to my feet, furious. It smelled, acted, and looked the same as Kagome. How could it have been a fake and none of us even noticed?

"No, it was just a demon. Naraku must of put some kind of spell on it." Miroku picked up the tail with two fingers and dropped it so it fell limply to the floor. "But that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. That means she must be alive somewhere with Naraku."

"Then what are we waiting for, we have to find her!" I stomped towards the exit.

"Wait Inuyasha!" Miroku ran after me. "Inuyasha!"

"What!" I spun around and glared at him.

"We have to make a plan before we go out tearing stuff apart. Naraku is oblivious about us knowing that Kagome is alive. He thinks we are weak so maybe he'll come out of hiding." I wasn't convince, I believe that we should go out and kill him right now. I don't want to wait, but he was probably right.

I sighed. "Fine, but there's one thing I want you to do for me."

"And what is that?" He looked at me curiously.

"Tell me I was right and I'm the smartest person ever." I smirked at him. I'm gonna enjoy this.

"About wh-" He dropped his jaw. "Really? You're worried about that right now?"

"Just do it Miroku. Swallow your pride!" I laughed.

"Fine." He pouted. "You were right and you're the smartest person ever. While I'm at it. I'm sorry for doubting you and if it weren't for you we probably wouldn't have the chance of getting her back."

"Thank you." I smiled. I felt like my heart was as light as a feather, usually my spirits were low and my shoulders slumped. "Now what do you have in mind?"

We sat in the grass for about an hour whispering and snickering about our great ideas.

Sango, Shippo, and Kirara walked out of the cave. "So what are we going to do with the fake?"

"Burning it, leave it in the woods somewhere, something. It's disgusting and I don't even wanna look at it." I snarled.

"We'll bury it somewhere. That way we don't have to worry about another demon coming and attacking the shrine while we're getting rid of it." Miroku suggested.

We all agreed and dragged the body far away from the cave and buried it. Leaving the grave unmarked.

Walking back to the cave, we thanked and said goodbye to Shiraku. Continuing our journey and rethinking our plan over and over again in our heads. Naraku was completely oblivious and knowing that made me feel nice.
