After what seemed like forever in the hospital. I was able to leave the pain in my stomach was still there but just slightly. I had healed enough to the point where I could walk but of course that didn't stop Inuyasha. He walked me out of the hospital arm in arm supporting me as much as he could. Hell he might as well be carrying me.
"Watch your step." He said as we walked out the door into fresh air.
"Ah air never missed it more." I took a deep breathe. The hospital smelled of old people and blood and I hated it.
"Are you ready to go. This place is disgusting. People these days leave wrappers and cups everywhere. It reeks." I jumped onto his back and we ran back to my house.
"I'm gonna go grab some supplies quick." I started to walk towards the house when a sharp pain came to my stomach. 'That's unusual' I tried to keep walking like it was nothing but fell to my knees instead. I grunted.
"Kagome?" Inuyasha ran to my side and helped me up.
"I'm fine it's nothing I can't handle." He tried to "support" me again but I just pushed him off. I wanted to walk on my own. Sitting in a bed for a week sure can make you feel useless.
"Are you stupid? You just fell and now you want to do it on your own!?"
"I'm not stupid Inuyasha! So stop calling me that! I can do it on my own! I feel so useless so just! STOP!" I yelled back.
"If that's what I get for helping a handicapped then count me out!" He growled in my face.
I was really starting to get ticked off. 'Handicapped!? I'm not handicapped I just have a giant ass hole in my stomach.'
"Handicapped!? Is that what I am! Well I'm ssoorryy it's all my fault that I got stabbed in my stomach!!" I yelled.
"I didn't mean it like that Kagome! God your attitude is as bad as your cooking!!" Once he said that he instantly regretted it.
"Ah uh Kagome I-I'm sorry"
"Inuyasha... SIT!!"
His necklace started to glow and he went face first into the ground.
"Ka- Kagome" He whimper.
I turned my back on him and started to limp away. Once in I heard Sota run out of the kitchen.
"Kagome your back!! Are you feeling better?" He ran up to me and hugged my stomach. I grunted in pain.
"Oh I'm sorry Kagome.." He let go quickly and looked at the ground.
"It's okay Sota honest mistake." I said. I then messed up his hair a little and walked into the kitchen. There stood my Mum at the stove cooking dinner and of course Grandpa sitting at the table playing with his "sacred" toys. My Mum looked over at me.
"Oh Kagome good to see you walking around. Are you staying for dinner?"
"No Mum we gotta find Naraku. Hey is there any cough syrup up stairs? Shippo as a nasty cough."
"Oh yes in the bathroom in the cupboard" She continued on with her cooking.
"Thanks Mum love you!" I shouted as I walked towards the stairs. 'How am I supposed to get up these?' I put my foot on the first step and started to climb up. About half way to the top I fell to a crawling position.
"Ugh" I grunted as I fell. Inuyasha ran to my side. 'He must of been watching me.'
"Kagome are you alright? Here." He picked me up bridal style and jumped to the bathroom door. He set me down and I opened the door. I opened the cupboard and grabbed the cough syrup.
"Okay let's go." Inuyasha turned around and I climbed on his back. He jumped down to the bottom of the stairs and walked out the door. He ran to the well and we jumped in. 'Gosh I feel so tired.' Once we were through I laid my head on his back. 'He probably won't mind if I just rest my eyes a little.' I drifted off to sleep against the warmth of his back.
(Inuyasha's POV)
We then arrived at the sight where Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo were sitting around the fire.
"Your back!" Sango said. "How's Kagome?"
"She's fine. I'm pretty sure she fell asleep on the way here."
"Poor thing" Sango said. She walked around me and Examined Kagome. "So Inuyasha you two were probably alone a lot. Did anything happen? Hmmm?"
"Uh ah. OF COURSE NOT!" I then turned a bright red.
"What ever you say, Inuyasha" Miroku said. He gave me a sly smile.
"God let's just go." I started walking with Kagome still on my back. 'That whole time I was with her I felt this warm feeling in my chest. I felt like I just wanted to hold her in my arms all the time. I dread every second we're here with everyone and I don't know why.' I shook it out of my head. I need to focus right now. After an hour or two of walking Kagome started to squirm and whimper. 'She's having another nightmare. She's been having them all week.' I stopped and set Kagome on the ground.
"Kagome wake up." I started to shake her slightly. "Kagome." She jolted awake, her breathing was heavy and she had a blanket of cold swear on her body.
"Inuyasha?" Her eyes started to water. I wrapped my arms around her and she buried her face into my chest. "It always seems so real." She started to cry softly.
"It's okay. I'm here, nothing is going to hurt you." I looked up to see everyone looking at us. "Don't just stand there get some water and start a fire." Everyone burst into action. Miroku and Sango went to get some water. While Kirara and Shippo got some fire wood. Once everyone was back Kagome lifted her head.
"I'm really sorry guys. I'm slowing us down. We really shouldn't stop, we're burning daylight." She tried to stand up but I just grabbed her waist and pulled her back down. 'I really don't care about Naraku right now.'
"It's okay Kagome we still have all of tomorrow and the next day. Plus it is getting kinda late. We'll find him." I said. She sat down next to me and rested her head on my shoulder.
"If your sure then I guess we could.." She stared at the fire blankly. 'No I'm not sure. What am I saying? It's like my feelings are taking control of my actions too.'
As I sat there I looked up to see everyone staring at me smiling. I glared at them. 'If looks could kill.' I thought to myself.
