In the morning I woke up and Sango was gone.
"Sango?" I sat up and opened the door.
"Sango?" I said into the hall way.
"What is it Kagome?" Miroku asked with his head sticking out the door. I don't want him to worry.
"Oh nothing, it's okay." Miroku gave me a puzzling stare but went back into the room. I walked to Ameki's room and opened the door. She wasn't there either. I walked out side and Ameki was carrying basket of plants. "Oh Ameki! Do you know where Sango is?" She gave me a cold stare but said.
"She's in the field picking herbs." She pointed to the field. She walked past me and into the house. 'Okay..'
I walked to the field. The dirt was soft and wet and I kept sinking. There was dirt and water up to my knees. My shoes are soaked! What am I gonna tell Mum? I found Sango picking some herbs.
"Oh hey Sango!" She looked up and I waved. She looked back down. I walked over to her. "Hey what's up?"
"You know there are special shoes so that you don't sink into the dirt, right?" I looked down at her feet and she was wearing these weird wooden shoes.
"Yea yea totally. I just didn't want to ruin them." I laughed nervously and rubbed the back of my head. 'It's been so long I have no idea what to say to her.'
"Look about last night-"
"I'm not going with you."
"But Sango."
"Look at what I have Kagome." She lifted her arms up. "Do you think I would give this up just to sleep on the ground? And Akemi, she's my world. I love that little girl. I can't leave her by herself."
"Sango she won't be alone! I mean who was taking care of her before?"
"Her grandparents." She mumbled and dropped her arms.
"Are they still alive?" She nodded her head. "See she'll have them! And this?" I opened my arms up also. "You wouldn't be leaving this to sleep on the ground. You'd be leaving this to be with your friends." I dropped my hands to my side. "I thought we were worth a lot more to you then that, guess I was wrong." I turned and started to walk away. Feet sinking and getting even more wet. "We'll be leaving now if we're such a bother, I guess. Good bye Sango."
"Goodbye Kagome." She whispered and eyes watering.
I got back to the house and went inside.
"We're leaving now!" I shouted to everyone. I went into Sango's room and grabbed my bag. When I walked out they were all walking out the door. I looked at Akemi.
"Are you gonna take my Mum away?" She asked and tears streaming down her face.
"No Akemi." I said and walked out the door. Sango was standing at the bottom of the steps. I walked past her and everyone followed. Except Miroku.
(Miroku's POV)
"Sango, are you coming?" I asked. She looked at the ground and shook her head. "But Sango, I don't know if I could live without you. Knowing your alive and living in this miserable village." I walked down the steps and stood in front of her.
"Miroku, I'm glad you're alive. Really I'm grateful." She lifted her head up and looked at me. "But when I look at you I feel guilt fill up my heart." I hugged her.
"I respect your decision." A tear fell down my cheek. I was heart broken. "But I just wanted you to know. I love you. I always have and always will." I let her go and stepped back. "But how can I love you without you?"
