(Kagome's POV)

I tumbled down the mountain, hitting rocks and running into trees. Once I reach the bottom my body was covered with cuts and bruises. My head had a huge gash and blood was dripping down the side of my face.

"Whoops, sorry about that." Kikyo laughs as I stand up straightening my dirty shirt.

'I'm sure you are.' I say sarcastically in my head. We continued walking, Kikyo saying rude things under her breath as I walked faster.

My body felt completely numb, like I wasn't even a human being. I felt like a robot with no emotions or feelings at all. I didn't belong here, I'm just an object to Naraku. I felt so useless and powerless.

Why must I be so stupid! This is all my fault, I could be a normal school girl with normal friends and have just a normal life! I could be with my family right now, sitting around the small table eating dinner, but that can't happen now. Not with those ninjas trying to kill me.

I wish I was back at my hut, all alone. Without having to worry about when I ran into my friends, what they would think of me as I tried to kill them? They'll probably hate me, if they survive mine and Kikyo's attacks.

With each step we took I became more and more anxious. My stomach churning and my throat drying up from my heavy breathing. The sun beaming down on our hot sweaty faces.

Kikyo wiped her forehead with the back of our hand. "Why don't we stop and get some water." She said as we were passing a long crystal clear river. She got down on her knees and scooped up some water into her hands, splashing it onto her pale face. I stood back watching her, my body aching from exhaustion. I tried to walk to the river for some water but my legs did not move.

Kikyo stood up. "Oh I forgot, you only listen to what Naraku says." She flicked some water at my face as she walked by. "Sucks for you." We walked for the rest of the day, Kikyo stopping every so often to sit and rest under a shady tree as I stood in the heat of the sun.

Not having control over my own actions was really starting to tick me off. My feet ached and I felt as though I was going to pass out from the heat.

"Kagome," Naraku said in my head. "You can rest, get some water. Take care of yourself." I felt my body ease up a little.

Thank god. I sat down under the tree on the other side of Kikyo. "Hey what do you think you're doing!?" She glared at me as I rested my head against the tree.

"What does it look like?" It felt really nice to talk, even with my dry throat.

Kikyo sighed in annoyance. "Great, it can talk."

I stood up and knelt by the river. The sun was about to set and the sky was filled with pinks and blues. A few stars were shining in the dark half.

"I'll never get over the beautiful sunsets." I sighed slashing water on my sticky face.

"What did you say!" Kikyo shouts, still leaning against the tree.

"Nothing!" I groaned, taking a sip of the cold water.

"Whatever. We'll just stay here for the night." I pick up sticks and put them in a small pile. "We'll probably find Inuyasha and your little friends tomarrow." She laughs evilly. "I can't wait to see their faces when we kill them, and that kid. What's his name, Shippen?" I strike the rocks together to make a spark, trying to drown out Kikyo's annoying voice.

"I can't wait to get my hands on him. The little ones are the best to kill, to hear them cry for mercy." I strike the rocks harder and harder together. "Shippen won't-"
