After their weekend of madness, the following week was just a waiting game filled with nothing but angst and nerves.

Effie and Draco couldn't be seen anywhere near Hogwarts, so they just had to wait it out in the muggle world until they could sneak in on Friday during dinner when everyone was in the great hall.

As far as a lot of students were concerned, Effie and Draco had mysteriously gone missing, no one knew where they were or what had happened to them, even the Dark Lord was convinced something terrible had happened to them, not that he cared much for their well-being only the fact that now he would have to handle his own dirty work.

It was like the perfect plan— the ultimate betrayal. Voldemort would never have expected it, but the pair had to be sure not to be seen by him before the snake was dead as he would kill the pair of them on sight— there was no doubt about that.

Effie had had a lot of time to think about what was going to happen, a thousand scenarios played through her head each day, each one worse than the last, but she didn't care anymore.

Living this life— this act that being a death eater in some way keeps you safe, it was all facade, you weren't safe at all— in fact you were probably in more danger being on the Dark Lords side than being against him because as soon as you were his follower he owned you, controlled you, you no longer uttered the word no, you were forced to agree to everything he said and if not, the consequences were nothing less than major. He'd come for you, your friends, family, your pets, he would go to disgusting lengths to get what he wanted.

Effie was a brave girl, she would never bow down to the Dark Lord, as much as he tried to control her, or use her mother as a pawn to keep her on side, she had came to the decision that what her mother done no longer mattered, she was tired of fighting with herself to forgive her, she'd came to the conclusion that she could probably never do it, her mother had hurt her too much and she would always choose the Dark Lord.

It was only a couple of days until Draco and Effie had to sneak back into the grounds of Hogwarts, and they were going over their plan for about the millionth time today,

Effie was becoming a bit obsessive, making sure that everything was right, having to make sure Draco knew what had to be done. It was as if there was some sort of script they had to follow and as soon as one mistake was made it was straight back to square one.

"Eff— you need to calm down with this." Draco said to her across the room as she paced back and forth.

"I can't calm down Draco. The weekend is three days away, how can you be so calm?" She spat, it was clear that all the stress was getting the better of her.

"Because I know we'll be alright Effie, please just take a night off, your going to make yourself ill." He pleaded.

She knew she had been getting way ahead of herself, and she knew she thought about the plan a lot more than she should, but she just couldn't help it, she needed everything to be perfect, she needed to make sure that there was not one chance that they could fail this, they had to end it— him.

"Your right. I'm sorry— I'm just worried, I don't want anything to happen to any of us." She walked over and sat down next to him on the couch, laying her head on her hand and her legs over Draco's thighs.

"As long as we all have each other we will be fine. Have you ever met a group of friends as tight knit as ours? Do you really think any of us are going to let that happen?" He reassured her and judging by the look on her face it was working, it only took a few loving words to calm her down.

The next few days were long and die hard, it was like the undoubtable was nearing faster and faster. Effie hadn't written to Pansy since they left on Monday, but the plan was fully in place and everyone knew what they had to do.
