It was nearing the time where Effie had to meet Harry in the library to complete the homework from the day before, her hands were trembling and stomach was tying in knots.

She made her way along the corridor towards the library, her brain going one hundred thousand miles per hour, she had to make sure to get some sort of information out of Harry but at the same time she couldn't make it obvious that she was trying to gain information from him.

When she got there, the library was empty, there was no Harry, Ron or Malfoy in sight, she sat down at the nearest table and started scanning over the potions homework, patiently waiting for someone to show up.

The silence of the room was quickly disrupted by the sound of Ron and Harry entering the library, talking and giggling about something that was clearly very funny.

Every time she looked at Harry her heart shattered, she really didn't want to be doing this but she knew deep down she had to. She didn't understand this vendetta the Dark Lord had against him, sure she had heard the stories, but how could you possibly hate someone so much simply for not being able to kill them. Surely you would just give up after the first try and save yourself the embarrassment.

"Alright there Effie." Ron chanted, sitting down in the seat across from her stuffing his face with a pumpkin pasty, as Harry sat down beside her, this time pulling out his own textbook.

"Have you been waiting here long? Quidditch practice ran a little late, sorry." Harry asked sounding concerned.

"Don't worry about it, I've only been here for like ten minutes, do you want to make a start on this? I didn't want to start it without you but it seems pretty easy." She replied, pointing down at the large sheet of writing.

Effie was one of the smartest in the class, she could have already had it done and dusted and be back in her dorm by now, but that wasn't a part of the plan.

"You two get on with it. I'll just sit here and wait for stupid Malfoy—" Effie's eyes darted upto Ron at the mention of Draco's name. "I mean who does he honestly think he is, he walks around this school as if he owns it. Stupid blonde haired ferret looking—"

"Okay Ron. We get the picture." Harry interrupted him, trying to calm the boy down as he started to turn a deep shade of scarlet, the anger filled his face just at the thought of Malfoy.

Effie tried her hardest to bite her tongue, not to snap back at Ron for talking bad about her boyfriend, but she knew she couldn't, she just had to sit back and listen to it, who knows maybe it will help her feel less guilty for going behind their backs, because if it were anyone else sitting in front of her bad mouthing him, she couldn't promise she wouldn't have already flew across the table and punched them square in the face.

Just at that moment the library door opened and there he was, that blonde haired ferret looking idiot whom she loved so much, she had to hide the smile on her face when their eyes connected across the room. He looked annoyed, but she knew that was due to the fact that his girlfriend was sat there with two of the people he hated most in the world.

"Evening Potter, Weaslebee." He teased, sitting down, he looked over at Effie and gave her a subtle wink while they weren't looking. "Alright Burke."

"I don't know why you need to be rude to us Malfoy, just because we aren't in Slytherin doesn't mean you get to treat us like mud." Ron spat across the table.

All Draco done was laugh at him, to be fair Ron didn't do himself any favours, he was like a teenage girl with a crush, it seemed more like an obsession than a dislike for Malfoy.

"Not my fault you can't take a joke Weasybum." He chuckled.

"Your lucky we're in a library Malfoy cause if we weren't, I swear to god I'd—"
