Jungkook goes to visit his uncle after his class, knowing he'll be bored until Jin gets home from his own. So to pass the time, he just hangs out in his office, laying on his couch while on his phone.
"I enjoy your presence kiddo, I do, but if you're just gonna be on your phone the whole time, why don't you just go home? I can't really talk since I have a lot of paperwork so you'll just be bored here," he says, looking up from his desk at Jungkook.
"Yea but I don't want to be alone. My roommate won't be home for another fifteen minutes," Jungkook admits, tilting his head back to look at his uncle. "And everyone else is busy."
"Well, ok I guess. Actually, I'm gonna need you to run an errand for me," he says as he continues to work. "I'm almost done but I need you to take some papers down to Professor Cho in the academics building."
"Ok."
Jungkook makes his way through campus with documents in hand and enters the building, maneuvering around the crowd of students as they leave their classrooms and walk down the halls. He makes it to Mr. Cho's room and is about to knock when he hears faint noises and sounds of someone... crying?
He quietly tries the door but notices it's locked. With a sigh, he decides to wait until the door opens. Maybe he's crying because he hates his life? He wouldn't be surprised as this isn't the first time he's caught a teacher having an emotional mid-life crisis. He'll let him have his little crying session and drop off the papers once he's done.
He sits on one of the benches a bit aways from the door and gets on his phone. After he leaves here, he wants to get back home as quickly as possible to check on Jin and how he's doing. Despite how he was feeling yesterday, he said he was going to class today, disregarding how much Jungkook insisted he stay to recover.
Twenty minutes pass and Jungkook is about to just get up to knock—he's taking too long—when the door opens and out comes a student. Not just any student though. It's Jin.
He figured he'd be home by now since he didn't run into him. He wouldn't have been able to actually confirm it though because there was a lot of people in the hall. He's about to call out to him and get his attention but he notices how Jin slowly walks down the hallway with slouched shoulders and a limp. What the fuck?
He gets up and sneakily peeks inside the room to see Mr. Cho fixing his pants. This confuses him. There's no way Jin is fucking around with his teacher, there's absolutely no way. He backs away and knocks, being greeted by the teacher at the door.
"Oh, Jungkook. What can I do for you?"
Jungkook feels uneasy but he doesn't let his voice expose him. "My uncle wanted me to drop off some papers to you," he says, handing Mr. Cho the folder. The professor takes it with a smile.
"Ok, thank you."
Jungkook just nods and leaves quickly, trying to make it to Jin as he knows he couldn't have made it that far with how he was walking. He does eventually catch up to him as he strides down the crosswalk towards their dorm building.
"Hey," he says and this spooks Jin.
"Oh hey. I thought you'd be home already," he replies softly and Jungkook shoves his hands in his pockets as they walk side by side.
"I was with my uncle for a bit. I was leaving the office building when I saw you."
They enter the apartments and board the elevator together, Jungkook taking one hand out of his jeans pocket and drumming his fingers against his thigh. He's anxious, itching to know what's going on. He would try and let it be as he usually doesn't care about other people's business, but this is Jin we're talking about. He has to find out, he doesn't think he'd be able to let this go.
Jin unlocks their door and walks—limps—inside, slowly and carefully taking off his shoes, Jungkook doing the same before heading into the kitchen for a drink.
"Hey Jin, you want anything?" He yells from the other room.
"No thanks, I'm ok."
Jungkook tries to hurry back into the living room after getting his glass of water but Jin is already upstairs in his room. He sets his cup down on the coffee table and skips some steps as he goes upstairs. He takes a deep breath as he reaches his door and knocks.
"Jin, can I come in?"
He hears shuffling on the other side but he gets an answer.
"Um, sure."
He walks in and finds Jin sitting in his bed, nestled underneath his covers. He closes the door and sits on the side of the bed, looking down at his fingers, fiddling with them on his lap.
"Can I ask you something? And I'm going to be blunt about this."
Jin cautiously nods.
He sighs. "My uncle had me take some papers to Mr. Cho and when I got there, the door was locked. I waited until the door opened and I saw you walking out of there with a limp."
Jin's eyes can't help but widen. His heart thumps in his chest and he feels his palms getting sweaty.
"What was going on in there?"
"Nothing was going on. I had some questions so I stayed back to get some help," he answers meekly but Jungkook isn't having it.
"Are you fucking your teacher?"
Jin's head snaps back up to look at him, his eyes owlish and his mouth slightly agape. "W-what?"
Jungkook's face hardens. "Are you fucking Mr. Cho?" He asks slowly and Jin's silence is enough for him.
"I can't believe it! Not once did I ever think you'd be the type of person to do such a thing. I'm all for living out your personal fantasies and what not, but this is illegal! Do you want him to get fired? He's one of our best professors, even my uncle says so," he yells in anger, standing up from the bed and pacing around the room.
"N-no Jungkook, it's not what you think," Jin cries out, trying to get out of bed to properly confront him.
"Then what is it?!" Jungkook turns around, his nostrils flaring. Why is he so angry? It's not because of the whole teacher-student dynamic, he could give two shits if it were someone else. It's because it's Jin who is doing it and he doesn't want to believe it, accept that it could be true. He really hopes Jin has a good excuse, he really does.
Jin opens his mouth to say something but it closes. He can't really tell him the truth, can he? Like Jungkook had said, Mr. Cho is one of their best teachers. An accusation like this against a valued faculty member wouldn't look good on him. He knows he wouldn't get far if he snitched. Jungkook's face doesn't ease his feelings as there's the chance that Jungkook won't believe him either.
But no matter how he answers him, he knows he'll look bad to Jungkook.
A filthy liar or a desperate slut?
Which does he prefer?
