"Jinnie, are you ok?" Taeyong asks him, very quickly noticing how spacey he's been. Jin is just staring out the window, nursing his hot tea in his hands and watching the rain patter on the glass. It's gonna be so humid and disgustingly hot out.

"Yea," he says blankly before averting his attention to him. "Just thinking."

"Is there anything I can do to help?"

Jin ponders for a moment. He's gotten a professional opinion about the situation, not like Taeyong isn't a complete professional either—he's also in that field. But he'd like to hear it from a friend's point of view. So far, Taeyong hasn't given him a reason to be cautious around him. He hopes he doesn't make the same mistake of trusting someone else again.

"I had this... friend who hurt me in a really bad way in the past," he starts, staring down at his drink. "Recently, he reached out to me and begged me to give him another chance to make things right between us. I wasn't planning on it, but I could tell he was really sincere about it. I'm scared to trust him again, but I felt his desperation. I don't know what to do."

Taeyong hums softly. "May I ask what happened? Just so I know how to better give advice. If not, I will do my best to help either way."

Jin thinks about it. It's been hard for him to go into the full extent about the incident, he hasn't even told his doctor yet.

     "Maybe not here, ya know?"

He nods. "I completely understand. Well, I would still be careful and if he does seem remorseful, I'd say keep it surface level for now. You're not ready to put that trust back into that person but maybe you could mend that a little and be acquaintances."

Jin slowly nods. He can't just blindly trust him again, of course he's going to be careful around him.

Jungkook barges into Mr. Kim's office, startling the older male.

"Jesus, Jungkook! A knock is encouraged," he breathes out, his hand resting over his racing heart.

Jungkook takes out his phone and plops his happy ass down on the seat in front of his desk, pulling something up and sliding it towards him.

"You remember when I told you I was going to see if I can locate any other victims of Professor Cho? Well, I got a response last night," he says, watching closely as Mr. Kim reads the private message.

His eyes widen as he finishes up and he looks back up at Jungkook. "Lim Dojin? I remember him. Very bright student, he graduated last year."

"Well I met up with him this morning and let me tell you, I got a load of information. Turns out, he did report it to my uncle and apparently my uncle said he was going to follow up and clear this whole thing out. He was blackmailed and forced into taking money to keep his mouth shut but luckily, he hasn't used any of it. He still has the details of the wire transfer too and he's also got his therapist to back him up."

Mr. Kim's mouth is agape, astounded. "Oh my god, this is huge! Is he willing to testify?"

Jungkook nods with a smile. "He said he's more than ready now to stand up against him to get him put away."

"Did you contact Seokjin about this?"

Jungkook purses his lips, slumping back in his seat. "Not yet. I came back here as soon as that guy reached out to me so I haven't had the time to."

Mr. Kim hands his phone back to him. "What do you think he'll do?"

"I don't know but hopefully I'm going to find out tonight. If he's willing to sit down with me again, that is."

"You've met up with him already? How is he doing?"

"He seems to be doing well on the outside. I couldn't tell you if he's ok mentally. With what he went through, I doubt it though."

Mr. Kim nods. "So what now?"

"Well Dojin told me earlier that he's going to discuss with his therapist, get a lawyer, and get back to me as soon as he can. I'm going to head out once I ask Seokjin if he's free to meet up."

"Ok, good. Keep me updated, alright?"

     "Of course."
"And send Seokjin my regards if you do see him."

     Jungkook stands up. "Will do."

Jin chokes on his water as he reads the message he's gotten from Jungkook. He says he wants to meet up again and that it's very important that they do so. He didn't elaborate as to why, he just kept it vague. He replies to let him know he's free after work and puts his phone away, already feeling anxious about their meeting.

The whole day at work, his mind is all over the place, wondering what could be the reason for his urgency. He had at least a couple of days of peace, thinking what he said had gotten through to Jungkook so understandably, he was annoyed when he first received the text from him. That was before reading the contents.

Luckily, there were no major fumbles and finally, it's time to go home. He gets home and changes clothes before heading back out again, on his way to a small restaurant they chose. He arrives and once again, Jungkook has beat him there, a glass of water waiting for him.

"Hey," he says as he sits down and immediately after, a waitress comes over and sets a basket of fries in the middle.

"I didn't know if you ate or not so I just got these for now," Jungkook responds and Jin nods, shyly reaching over for one. He has, in fact, not eaten anything at all.

"So why did you want to see me?"

Jungkook sits up straight, clasping his hands together. "Someone reached out to me today and we can now finally build a case against Professor Cho."

Jin stiffens at his name and he looks at him wide-eyed. "Really? That's good."

Jungkook tilts his head, confused. He's not sure what reaction he was hoping to get from him but this isn't it. "I'm getting close to getting some evidence for you but I wanted to ask first if you'd be willing to testify as well."

Jin stops midway from drinking his water and looks at him. "It should be enough with this person, shouldn't it? You don't need me."

"What do you mean 'I don't need you'? Of course we do, it could get him a bigger sentence and incarcerated for longer. Your testimony means just as much, especially with how recent it was. Do you really have no intention of doing so?" He says, a little frustrated at his reluctance.

"What's the point of asking me if I want to when you're urging me to do it anyway?" Jin asks defensively, not liking his tone. "It's great that this person is willing to what he's doing. I'm just not strong enough to face him right now, why can't you understand that?"

Jungkook sighs. "I'm sorry. I do understand, believe it or now. I just really want to help you but it doesn't seem like you're wanting to let me."

"And I appreciate that, but you pressuring me is of no help at all."

Jungkook looks at him softly. "Ok. Can you at least just think about it a little bit more? That's all I ask."

Jin purses his lips, sighing. "Fine."

He gets up, pulling some money out of his pocket and setting it on the table. "Thanks for letting me know. I'm heading out now."

"Wait!" Jungkook calls out just as he's walking away. "Mr. Kim wanted me to give you his regards."

Jin nods. "Tell him thank you for everything he's done when you see him."

He exits the restaurant at that.
