They enjoy their meal and after stuffing their faces, they both sit back in their seats and rub their now full bellies, very much content. Jungkook leans forward minutes later.

"Thank you for agreeing to have lunch with me. I was fully expecting you to tell me to piss off."

Jin half smiles. "I was planning on it but it would've been rude of me after all the help you've given me," he pauses and looks at him. "Thank you, really. I don't think I can say that enough."

Jungkook smiles back. "Of course. I wasn't going to give up until that bastard was put in jail. After everything he has done.." he stops once noticing Jin's discomfort. "We don't need to talk about him. He's not our problem anymore."

"Yea," Jin simply says and Jungkook fiddles with his fingers.

"Do you have any plans after this?"

Just as Jin is about to reply, his phone goes off and it doesn't seem to stop. He smiles apologetically and reaches for it, his eyes widening as he's received messages from Jisung, Changbin, and his parents. He can respond to the other two later but he can't ignore the latter.

He puts his phone away after replying. "My parents want me to stop by so I have to go."

"Oh. Did your parents know about..?"

Tight lipped, Jin shakes his head no and he feels his anxiety bubble up inside him. He was aware they were going to find out eventually, they're very up to date with the news. He's afraid that they'll be upset and disappointed however since they didn't hear it from him first.

"Ok. I'll take you there, just tell me where to go," Jungkook says as he goes to stand up. Jin stands up with him.

     "Are you sure?"

Jungkook nods. "Absolutely. I don't have anything going on so it's no time out of my schedule."

     "Ok."

They say goodbye to the little old lady before they're on their way to Jin's parents' house. The ride is silent for the most part and every so often, Jungkook glances over his direction and sees Jin fidgeting. His hand itches to grab his to comfort him but he knows Jin wouldn't appreciate that at this time. Not from him anyway.

They pull up to the driveway minutes later and he shifts the car into park.

"Hey can I ask you something?" Jungkook asks as Jin is grabbing his stuff.

Jin pauses. "What?"

"If your parents didn't message you, would you have agreed to hang out with me?" He asks shyly and Jin stifles a scoff.

"Thank you for the ride," he says and opens the door. He walks up the steps and before walking in, he looks back and sees Jungkook staring at him with puppy eyes. He pulls his phone out and sends him a quick text before entering the home.

Phone buzzing in his pocket, Jungkook takes it out and smiles softly.

Jinnie: maybe some other time

He closes the door behind him and his heart plummets as both his parents are waiting for him on the couch, the tv still on in the background. He swallows the lump in his throat and his lip quivers as he can tell they both have cried. Hell, there's still some tears in his mother's eyes. She stands up and hesitantly, she walks over to him.

"My sweet boy," she cries out and she brings him into a hug, holding him tightly and him doing the same. The pain in her voice breaks his heart and he breaks down as well, resting his head on her shoulder. He opens his eyes as he hears rustling and he looks up to see his dad walking to them as well, wrapping his arms around them.

They stay like that for a couple of minutes until they calm down, his mother pulling away, wiping the tears from his face before pecking his forehead. They migrate to the couch with Jin sitting in between both of them. They wait patiently until Jin is ready to talk.

"I'm sorry for not telling you guys sooner. I know I can rely on you but I just felt... ashamed that it happened. I didn't know how to bring it up, any time that I could, it seemed out of place. Truthfully, I just wanted to forget and move on."

His mom lays her hand on his. "It's not your fault that it happened and don't be sorry for keeping it a secret. It's not your fault that there are disgusting and despicable people out there waiting to take advantage of someone so innocent. You didn't invite nor instigate that kind of behavior, sweetheart. It's not your fault."

Jin nods. "I know," he pauses for a moment. "I've been going to therapy and taking medication for my anxiety. I'd like to think it's going well but sometimes, I get panic attacks and it feels like I haven't gotten anywhere these past months."

"It's a difficult thing to process and deal with Seokjin," his dad speaks up this time. "It's worse before it gets better but that shouldn't stop you from trying. It'll seem like it never will be better, but you're not alone. Me and your mother, the friends you've made here, will always be here to help you and support you. When you feel weak and tired, know that you can lean on us and we'll help guide you along the way. We love you son and we will always back you up."

Jin smiles softly and clutches both of their hands. "Thank you. I love you both too."

His mom pecks the top of his hand before speaking once more.

"How dare that man do such a thing to my baby boy. 30 years, my ass. Why I ought to go visit the prison and cut his dick off," his mother says angrily and both him and his dad look at her, stunned.

     "Mom!"

"What? Men like that who have no respect nor decency whatsoever should be castrated and that's my take on it."

This makes Jin chuckle a little and he nods. Man, he loves his mom. "Yea."
