Once behind the door, he leans on the wall, his back pressed firmly on the wall. He's surprised at himself for keeping it together just now but he knew he had to get out of there as soon as possible. What the hell is he doing here? No wonder he felt so familiar, he feels so stupid for not figuring it out sooner.

He takes slow and deep breaths to calm down, his eyelids fluttering shut and he tries to focus on something else, feeling the fabric of his apron and taking in the sweet smell of the pastries baking in the industrial oven. However, he can still see Jungkook's sad eyes and he shakes his head, wanting to forget that image. He wants to leave but he knows he only has about an hour left anyway so what's the point.

"Woah, Jin are you ok?" Jisung asks when he comes back from the pantry, setting the clipboard down and rushing towards him.

Jin takes in one last deep breath through his nose and exhales slowly, finally opening his eyes. "Yea, I'm ok."

"Are you sure? What happened?"

Jin gives him a wistful smile to reassure him. "Nothing. I'm fine, really. I just needed a quick break, is all."

Jisung doesn't look too convinced but he doesn't want to pry either. If Jin doesn't want to talk about it, what else can he do? He can't force it out of him and he respects him enough not to do that to him.

"If you say so. Do you need to step outside for a minute?"

Jin shakes his head. "No. Thank you though."

Jisung purses his lips. "Hm, ok. I'll be in the office if you need anything. I'm always here to talk if you want to."

Jin nods and Jisung passes by him, the door swinging open just enough for him to take a quick peek out into the lobby. Luckily, he doesn't see Jungkook anywhere and he feels relieved, almost like a heavy weight has been lifted off his chest. How does he know where he works?

"Don't tell me he turned into a stalker," Jin mutters to himself but he honestly wouldn't put it past him. He was able to find Professor Cho's house so it wouldn't be too hard for Jungkook to dig around to find out. However it's a little off putting knowing that since he must've had to try really hard to figure it out.

To keep his thoughts at bay, he busies himself by looking for stuff to do. Surprisingly, it hasn't been that busy today so he's just stuck cleaning stuff that's already been cleaned previously. Still cautious, he sneaks back out front and he goes to clean some tables, slowly approaching the booth Jungkook had sat at. He goes to pick up the full cup of coffee when he notices a napkin with scribbles on it sticking out from beneath the saucer it's on. He quickly grabs it and stuffs it in his back pocket, curious as to what's on it but still nervous to actually read it. He walks away and to Taeyong's table.

"I'll take this out of the way," Jin says, reaching for the empty plate in front of him. "I shouldn't be long if you still want to hang out."

"Of course I do. I waited this long," he jokes but quickly turns serious. "Are you ok though? You seem a little shaken up," he mentions and Jin is surprised that he could tell right away. He didn't think it showed.

     "Yea. Just a little tired."

"We can save it for another day if you want. You should rest," Taeyong says and as much as he appreciates everyone's concern, he's starting to get annoyed by the constant asking if he's ok. He doesn't want to be rude though so he hides his irritation from everybody instead.

"No seriously, I'm ok. I get to sleep in a little tomorrow since I don't have to come in until 4."

"Ok," he replies softly, taking Jin's word.

Jungkook grips his steering wheel before slamming his hands on it, throwing his head back and feeling disheartened. He knew he should've just ignored the call but how was he supposed to know that Yugyeom would just call out his name that loudly?

Bastard.

He has half a mind to just smack him whenever he sees him next time but he has more pressing matters to think of. Jin's expression made his heart sink, it hurt him seeing the shock and fear in his face. He knows he acted like a fool and that's putting it lightly but he didn't know Jin felt that way about him still to this day. He realizes now to what extent Jin's contempt towards him lies.

When the day comes that Professor Cho is finally put behind bars, how is he going to tell him? What can he do with the distance Jin has set between them? He doesn't want to scare him off again.

With a sigh, he rubs his face and his head lolls to the side facing the café, staring at it sadly.

"Even if you hate me, I will do everything I can to take his ass down."

Jin arrives to his apartment hours later, tossing his keys on the counter and throwing himself on his bed, shutting his eyes with a soft sigh. He recalls when Changbin had told him someone was looking for him and it also explains that sinking feeling he got that same day too. Turns out, it was Jungkook the whole time. But shouldn't he be off vacationing somewhere else? Why is he wasting it here?

His hand sneaks into his jeans pocket, pulling out the napkin that Jungkook had left behind. Mentally preparing himself, he gets himself to read the short message.

I honestly don't know what to say but considering your reaction, there are no words that can make things any better
I'm aware of how selfish this is of me, but I really want to hear from you

     xxx xxxx-xxxx

Jin lightly scoffs, his arm landing by his side and he stares up at the ceiling, crumbling the napkin in his hand. His eyebrows furrow as he mulls over what he just read. So he knows he's being selfish, suddenly coming here and disrupting his life like that.

He gets up and goes to the kitchen, opening the bin but as his hand hovers over it, his fingers refuse to let the napkin drop. He purses his lips, annoyed by his own hesitation.

"Just fucking throw it away, you idiot," he mutters through clenched teeth but no matter how many times he curses himself in his head, he can't seem to get rid of the note. Frustrated, he throws it at the wall and goes to change into his pajamas instead, not forgetting to take his medicine this time. But despite that, his subconscious decides to torment him.

He ends up dreaming about Jungkook once again.
