Sodapop was comforting me all while Steve was out getting us food. He came back with some Dairy Queen, we ate and decided to watch TV for a while.

We were sitting on the couch. I was curled up next to Soda with a blanket around me and he had his arm around my shoulders. Steve was laid up at the other end of the couch, sprawled out with a bag of chips next to him.

I felt myself begin to doze off but when I thought I was going to, Blake got home. I let out a yawn and opened my eyes.

"Hey, Blake." I nodded my head slightly at him.

He cocked an eyebrow at me. Soda stretched, moving his arm from around my shoulders and crossing them across his chest.

"What?" I asked Blake.

"Nothing. How are you feeling?" He leaned on the wall.

I shrugged, "a little better since these two showed up."

"Yeah, I bet." He walked into the kitchen. "Where is Dally? I thought you-"

"Dally is in jail." I spoke over him. "I don't know what he did and I don't care."

"Elena can I talk to you?" Blake walked out of the kitchen and down the hall.

I sighed and stood up, following him into his bedroom. He shut the door behind me and sat on his bed.

"You and Sodapop?" He asked.

"What about me and-" I stopped myself. "No me and Soda aren't- Sodapop is just a friend."

He chuckled, "are you sure he thinks that?"

I rolled my eyes, "last I knew, Soda had a girl."

"Would Sodapop cheat on his girl?" Blake asked.

I shook my head, "no. No, he's sweet. Not like Dally."

"Well, Elena, I promise you that with you and him laying together like that, he has no girl." He stood up and walked to me. "And I bet he likes you."

"No," I shook my head again. "Not possible."

"I don't cuddle with girls I'm not into, Elena. You may not have been thinking it was that serious, but I swear if Dally walked in and seen you two like that he would have raised hell about it."

I huffed and shook my head, "well Dally done far more than watch TV with plenty of girls."

"That may be the case but I don't know, El, maybe just make sure Soda knows you aren't into him."

I nodded and walked out of his room. I plopped back down on the couch and Soda watched down the hall to make sure Blake wasn't coming back. He put his arm back around me. I laid my head on his shoulder and couldn't help but think about if he liked me or not.

-

I had fallen asleep on Sodapop, my head on his lap. He shook me awake.

"Soda and I gotta head to work, Darlin'," Steve said to me.

"I want to come." I stood up as I let out a yawn.

"Alright," Soda stood up.

We walked to the car and Sodapop began driving. I was in the backseat, and they cranked the radio so the two could talk without me hearing. I tried eavesdropping but it was too hard to make out what they were saying.

We all went inside and I sat on the counter. Steve leaned against the counter looking at me while Sodapop went to stock shelves.

"What?" I made a face due to the way he was staring at me.

"Nothin'," he smirked. "Just think you should take advantage of Dal being in jail, that's all."

"What?" I laughed a little.

"Start seeing other guys, El," he nudged me. "I already sorta got one in mind."

"Don't say Sodapop," I sighed.

He looked at me then looked at Soda standing in the back, "why not?"

"We're just friends." I got off the counter. "Soda has a girlfriend right?"

"When you and Dally broke up he broke up with his girl. He digs you, Elena. Its why he got mad that one day when we were in here talking about Dally."

I walked behind the counter and sat down, "you know Dally would kill Sodapop if we pursued each other."

"Dally is in jail, and from where I'm standing he has no reason to be mad at you for wanting to date other dudes." Steve perched his elbows on the counter.

"But he does have a reason to be mad at me if I go out with one of his friends." I sighed. "Anyway, I don't feel that way towards Soda."

"Just think about it, Elena. He broke up with his girl for you." He smirked. "I know him and I like to mess with Dal and flirt with you all the time but I think that made Soda actually develop feelings."

I glanced at Sodapop who was uncasing boxes of coke into the fridge. I watched him for a moment then looked back to Steve. He was grinning at me but I rolled my eyes.

"You're going to make me feel weird around him. I never really minded when you two would flirt because I knew it was all just fun and games but," I watched Soda begin to walk back over to us so I stopped talking about it.

Him and Steve started messing around, joking and laughing. I watched them for a while, unsettled by the conversation Steve and I had. I don't want this information to come between me and Sodapop but I dont want to lead him on.
