"Animals don't do this." – Kenneth Eade

Many heads turned to me, making me stop dead in my tracks.
Oh
A FEW MOMENTS AGO
Night had fallen.
Laying in my bed, I went through all possibilities.
How do I escape without them noticing?
After the dinner, everyone went back to their rooms, claiming that they're going to sleep.
Dream insisted on walking me back to my room. I noticed the way his gaze flickered to me once a while.
However, after saying goodnight to eachother, everyone went to sleep, filling the house with silence. My senses were on high alert, as I tip-toed to my door. I smiled to myself with satisfaction when I heard nothing but eerie silence.
Opening the door, I winced at the creaky sound it made as I walked through the corridor and made my way down the stairs. A victorious smile danced on my lips when I finally saw the front door.
My hand hovered above it, but I halted when I heard footsteps. Cold sweat started soaking my body and I tured around with my head hung low in embarrasment.
He stood infront of me, tall and intimidating."What are you doing?",
Dreams rough voice made me shrink.I raised my head and looked at the mask. The moonlight fell onto his face lightly, making his visible features look even sharper. He looked intimidating as he hovered above me, making me nervous and slightly uncomfortable.
Taking a cautious step backwards, I pressed myself against the door.
"I wanted to get some fresh air.",
the tiny whisper was barely audible.Dream sighed once as he turned around and walked into the living room, where a furnace provided us with light and warmth.
"You see...there's a little problem.",
he looked at my shivering figure."Come here and sit down.",
he pointed at the little chair that was infornt of the fire. I walked over quickly and sat down, sighing as I relaxed and leaned into the warmth."You simply can't go out."
At that, my body froze again and I looked at him with shock. My face scrunched up in confusion before I stood up abruptly.
"What do you mean?",
I snapped, trying to seem intimidating as I looked at his calm figure. He was in a chair just right infront of me, making him smaller than me.
His gaze never left my eyes as he looked like he was reading me like an open book.I couldn't see his eyes and most importantly, I couldn't see any reaction or emotions, and it was annoying me with each passing second.
"I have to search my brother!",
I screamed at him.Suddenly, he stood up, bumping into me slightly and making me stumble back.
"You remember those things that attacked you?",
he asked me with a dangerous quiet voice.I nodded as I returned the glare, fighting back my rapid heartbeat.
"You've been unconsious for three days, do you know how much changed in that time?",
he asked me with a voice that made me shiver. But then, it hit me.
3 days.
I was unconsious for three whole days.
