"Draw a monster. Why is it a monster?"

Eleanor felt weird.
That was the only way to put it.
The way her eyes would zoom into every little detail of the person infront of her or the way she would immediately pick up the smallest noise or faint smells. Her first assumption?
She's turning into a vampire.
It was kind of unlikely, seeing that she soon realized that she didn't crave blood or feel the need to sink her teeth into the nearest neck.
There was some kind of persistent hunger though.
That's why she was constantly in the cafeteria as she munched down something every minute.Clay was seated infront of her as he stared at her, wondering and too deep into thought to notice her huge hunger. That was until her cursing lowly finally pulled him out of his trance.
He watched her as she furrowed her eyesbrows while staring at another broken metal spoon.
"I swear to god, what material were these spoons made of?"
Standing up, Eleanor made her way into the kitchen in order to grab another spoon. Dream picked up one piece of the broken spoon out of curiosity as he tried to bend it, only to find out that it's rock solid.
What the?
He quickly put it back when seeing Eleanor return with another spoon. He now watched her with great interrest as she proceeded to eat.
"El."
His deep voice made her freeze for a second before she looked up only to be met by the piercing gaze of his mask.
"Yes?"
"Where have you been the past few days?"
Chills ran down her spine at the seriousness of his voice as nervousness made her bodyhair stand.
"What do you mean?"
She tried to play it cool as she offered him a questioning smile.
She could feel his judging eyes beneath that mask while she tried to hide her trembling hands.
"I don't know, you tell me."
His voice was low and husky. Honestly, it scared her as she could somehow predict his reaction if the truth was revealed.
Quick, think of something.
"Bathroom."
She froze for a second. It wasn't due to the fact that she had grown accustomed to the silence in her head the past few days. No, she had spent her days with that voice for way too long now.
It was the fact that it was a different voice.
"You mean whenever I go to do my business in the bathroom?"
Her voice was teasing as she tried to make him flustered, which actually worked.
Dream couldn't help but choke on nothing but air before he started to apologize frantically, feeling stupid for not thinking through the possibilities carefully enough.
Stupid.
It came a like a sudden breeze that soon turned into a stronger wind.
A pleasing and sweet smell wafted through the air before Eleanor breathed it in.An undescribable desire was awakened.
Her eyes immediately fell onto his neck which was exposed due to him leaning away as he still coughed.
Her pupils dialated and she could feel her chest tighten.
She felt somewhat hungry.
Like in a trance, she stared at the little piece of exposed skin intensely as her stomach growled in hunger.
"ELANOR!"
She flinched. Eleanor was finally able to look away as she stared at the male infront of her with wide eyes.
"W-What?"
She was shaken up.
"I've been calling you for like two minutes now."
He somehow managed to say inbetween coughs.
"I n-need water."
Quickly standing up, she brought him the desired drink before sitting down again.
She felt sick in her stomach the moment she realized what her previous thoughts were leading to.
Dream had finally calmed down as he looked at her with worry.
Something's definetly wrong.
"Is everything alright?"
He grabbed her hands across the table, causing her to flinch again before she stared at him with wide eyes.
"Y-Yeah of course."
"No secrets? You're aware that you can tell me literally anything, right?"
Dream tried to be as gentle as possible.
"Of course, everything is fine."
Eleanor sounded ungenuine as she avoided his touch by quickly pulling her hands out of his grip.
"I have to go."
Standing up, she quickly walked away.
That was the confirmation he needed to know that she was hiding something from him.
And deep inside of him, Dream could feel something break
