It was the same scientist from the day this mess started.

My head started to hurt as I tried to digest the newfound information.

"Wilbur...what is he talking about?",
I questioned my brother with confiusion tinting my voice.

Scientist...

Test...

Bio-Weapons....

What?

The pain got worse with every second as I groaned, images of fire and a worried woman flashing through my head.

I looked back at Wilbur, only to find him tense, like something big just got exposed.

He didn't look at me, but stared at the floor with guilt and shame, only making me worry even more.

"Wilbur, is he saying the truth?",
I asked him with a sharp voice, making him flinch as he avoided eye contact.

"WIL- "

A sudden sharp pain in my made me stop dead in my tracks, a yelp leaving my mouth as I fell onto the floor, clutching my head in pain.

I felt like it might explode any moment.

"El!"

Wilbur crouched down next to my trembling figure, gently lifting my chin to stare into my tears coated eyes.

"Wil, what happened really?"

The question seemed to be confiusing to some, but to me and Wilbur, it held a strong meaning.

He shook his head before starting to caress my hair. Sobs left my mouth as the I was at the brink of fainting.

"I'm sorry."

The psychotic laugh of Alfred in the background as I kept shut my eyes tightly. Many voices, emotions and memories suddenly plagueing me at once.

"I'm so sorry, El."

And my world turned black.

That was all I remembered before I woke up again, a headache dulling my senses as I looked around, a certain ringing in my ears and the world blurry.

I groaned before shielding my eyes from the blinding light, feeling somehow suffocated. The room around me smelled familiar, very much like the hospital I used to work at.

Supporting myself on my elbows, I analyzed my surroundings noticing that I was in a room that looked like an ICU. The sound of something beeping caught my attention as I looked back, noticing the monitor that visualized my vitals and then the typical patient's robe I was dressed in.

My feet curled them moment I stepped onto the cold and white marble floor, my legs shaky and whole body overall weak as I limped to the othe side of the room.

Dream and Nick lay in two beds, also clothed and monitored. Slowly, Dream stirred before a sigh left his mouth, carefully, he sat up as his mask wandered around the room, eventually stopping on my figure.

He also stood up, towering above my small figure as he cleared his throat.

"Are you okay? Did anything happen to you?"

Dream suddenly started to circle around me, occasionally lifting my arms to check for any bruises.

"Hey!"

I stopped him the moment I heared his harsh breaths and the slight shakyness as he stumbled upon his words.

"I'm fine. I'm fine!"

Grabbing him by his wrists, I stopped his movemet as he kept opening his mouth, looking like he was trying to say something but couldn't find the right words.

"I'm fine, but..."

I tried to be as gentle as possible as I peered at the black holes of his mask, a slight green tint flushing through them at different angles.

"How are you?"

Tears coated my eyes when he suddenly shuddered, taking a few steps back before he pulled at his hair with one hand and his chest with the other.

"G-George."

My heart shattered at his weak voice.

"Where is George?"

His voice sounded confused as he looked around, now walking around with quick steps.

"Dream."

He peered into the connected rooms.

"Dream!"

He glanced at every bed and crouched down to check beneath them.

"DREAM!"

He froze.

He shook his head.

He crumpled as he fell onto his knees.

I slowly crouched down beside him as I grabbed his hands, rubbing them in confort as I shook my head

"No."

My voice cracked at the end as I told him with teary eyes.

Slowly, one tear after another flew down from benneath his mask. My heart and mind shattered at the sight of them.

This was the first time I saw Dream like this.

He wiped the tears with the sleeve before shaking his head, not wanting to accept the fact that he lost someone as important as George.

I carefully wrapped my arms around his torso, tears now also flowing down my eyes as he weeped into my shoulder.

He might be strong.

He might have to qualities to be a leader.

But after all, he was still human.

This very moment, I realized how innocent Dream actually still was.

I sniffled before wiping my tears, carefully leaning away from the hug.

"Dream. Whatever happens, I'll always stay with you, okay? Me and Nick, we'll stay 'till the end. Okay?"

Dream nodded weakly before letting out a long sigh, leaning his forehead on my shoulder as I caressed the back of his hair gently, calming him down.

A warm feeling soom blossomed in my chest and I suddenly felt a lot more hotter as I fanned myself with my free hand, now obvious to the clise proximty we held.

I cleared my throat in nervousness when I finally felt the way Dream's breath fanned along my neck, raising goosebumps on my arm and also making my neckhair stand.

Dream finally leaned back and I internally crumpled beneath his heavy gaze.

His aura was the same when I looked into his eyes after we found out about George, yet, his gaze somehow felt completely different.

Time froze as we looked at eachother, a weird feeling making my stomach feel like it was doing flips.

"Well good morning, pals. What a surprise."

An unfamiliar voice made us jump apart. My heart hammered in my chest as I quickly stood up in surprise.

There he stood, Alfred, an expression on his face and glint in his eyes that gave me a very unsettling feeling.
