"Don't judge a book by it's cover."

It was a calm spring day (BOGOSHIPDA- sorry).

Birds were chirping and flowers were blooming proudly with their various colours on full display with butterflies and bees flying through the different kinds of plants. The day seemed to be idyllic.

Of course, you couldn't forget the loud screams of the children that played in the parks with their friends and family.

"PAPA!"

A little five year old ran up to her father before getting embraced, him lifting her to twirl with her in his arms as she giggled.

"Sophie!"

The male exclaimed happily before he set his daughter down again.

"How was your day, Papa?"

Sophie asked him, making him smile sadly.

"It was tiring but I feel a lot better now since I'm here with you."

The brunette couldn't help but give her father a big and toothy smile if you ignored that fact that her front teeth were missing.
The man couldn't help but awe at his daughter, noticing how much she resembled her beautiful mother with the ivy green eyes and golden locks.

His heart and stomach warmed at the thought of his beloved wife.

"Tell me, where is Mama?"

The girl quickly grabbed his hand, making him feel overwhelmed by her strengh as he slightly stumbled after her quick steps.

"MAMA! MAMI! MOMMY!"

The girl screamed at the top of her lungs, making a woman who observed the flowers flinch before turning around, immediately smiling at the sight of her daughter and husband.

"Sophie, stop screaming!"

The woman laughed before she picked up the little ball of sunshine, immediately blushing at the sight of her husband.

"Lara."

He gave her a quick peck on the cheek, making her blush even more as she put the girl down again before she ran away, wanting to get back to her friends as soon as possible to be able to play with them again.

The couple sat down on a bench with the woman leaning her head against his shoulder with a content sigh.

Life was beautiful.

"I can't imagine how life would've been without Sophie..."

Lara trailed off as her attention was now set onto her little ball of sunshine and hope.

"Neither can I."

"Let's always stay together and live a happy life."

"Let's raise her into the most confident and beautiful lady we know."

The couple looked at eachother before they nodded with loving and determinded eyes staring at the other.

Life was beautiful.

One week.

Seven days was all it took to leave the world in shatters of what it used to be.

He quivered in the corner as he watched with wide eyes.

His little sunflower, what had happened to her?

He could only watch in terror as the moon shone onto his daughter. Or what used to be his daughter, as she tugged at the ropes around her neck while trying to get to her "Papa".

Her lush pink lips and cheeks were pale, her eyes had turned completely black and her once soft and fair skin blistered and turned into the famillar black and slimy texture you saw on other zombies.

His little sunshine was dead, no, undead.

Her once beautiful mother already lay to her left with her limbs twisted into sick angles and mouth still gurgling with black tar as she died for the last time.

The male clutched the dirty knife to his chest tightly as loud and free sobs escaped his mouth, soon turning into screames before he finally neared his daughter, hands trembling and heart accelerating.

He couldn't bare the sight anymore.

Closing his eyes and baring his teeth, he quickly sinked the knife into the little girls forehead, silencing her moans and groans.

The man looked at his hands and stared at the blood, their blood.

Sinking to his knees, he screamed.

He screamed in agony and he screamed out his pain, letting the whole world know.

Ladies and gentlemen, that was the story of none other than Alfred Fisher, another lost soul.
